  1. So we will be playing on the Sunday then?
  2. FFS. Collective head banging against walls in Motherwell and Aberdeen then. Both semi finals at Hampden then. Hoefully they will be in a sorry nick in Feb due to European competition.
  3. It will be announced on Radio Clyde within seconds due to the OF.
  4. I try to be optimistic as well but the chances of both Rangers and Celtic getting punted at the Semi Final stage is next to nothing. I just can't see a scenario where they draw each other either. Celtic are the weakest of the two but god knows what nick Rangers could be in come February if they are still in European competition. Celtic should also bolster that dodgy back line in January. Six and half a dozen at this point really.
  5. Would prefer Aberdeen at Tannadice/Easter Road although the irony is a defeat to them would sting much more than any defeat the OF could dish out. Still our best chance of progressing though. Can see us getting Celtic though.
  6. Just can't see, at this time anyway, Hutchinson being selected before Page.
  7. I'd play Page before Fitzy at LB. I'd bring Fitzy on for Forbes later on in the match when Forbes is inevitably shattered. Gow and Sutton switching is also a good idea. Bit worried about tjis due to our injury situation. Jennings, Hammell, Murphy, and Lasley all out with Casagolda still not near a return. Should be a tight game. Will also need to keep very close to Imrie as he could cause us problems. The truth is if we have ANY aspirations of finishing 3rd Accies is the kind of team we should be beating at home. Anything less than 3 points will be points dropped. It is just unfortunate we are heading in to the match with a few injury concerns. Going to be positive and predict a 2-1 win for us. Blackman double with Imrie scoring for Accies.
  8. Aye but the guys at the other end had to keep it at zero for the opposition in order for us to pick up the win. Nearly always a team effort.
  9. Was walking about the Main Stand no bother before the game. Would hope to have him back by Inverness.
  10. That had me thinking......is this still an option?
  11. Published on scotprem.com; Europe 2011/12 Scotland are 16th in the rankings for the 2011/12 UEFA Club Competitions. Champions League The winners of this season's Clydesdale Bank Premier League are scheduled to enter in the second qualifying round (champions' pathway) but may go into qualifying round three if the 2010/11 Champions League winners qualify through their domestic league position. Europa League The SPL runners-up and the Scottish Cup winners enter in qualifying round three, with the third-placed team in the SPL coming in at qualifying round two. In the event that the cup winners qualify for the Champions League then the cup winner entry to the Europa League will be taken by the club which finishes 2nd in the SPL; the entry normally for the club which finishes 2nd in the SPL would be taken by the club which finishes 3rd; the entry normally for the club which finishes 3rd would be taken by the runner-up in the Scottish Cup So to get into the Europa League next year we will either need to finish 2nd, 3rd, or as runners up in the Scottish Cup. Not going to be as 'easy' as last season but still not impossible. Shows you how far our collective stock has fallen in European football.
  12. Bloody hell. Sadly the price we are paying for having a very good season so far and due to that playing a lot of games. Agree. Seems to be out of the plans at the moment. With his contract running out in December this is possibly his final chance to impress Brown/Knox and earn a contract extension.
  13. Between £22-£25. Especially if we are at Hampden. I'm already resigned to that.
  14. How getting to the semi final of the League Cup will impact us and what it means for recruiting/retaining players in January. Depending on who we draw and where the game is played (realistically Hampden or Tannadice) what will the game be worth to us?
  15. Personally would love it to be the Saturday or Sunday. Would result in an excellent crowd if we played one of the OF. If we get any other team then obviously Hampden will need to get missed. Tannadice for games against St Johnstone and Aberdeen and Easter Road for game against Killie I'd imagine.
  16. I thought he limped off at the end? Four weeks would see him miss games against Accies, Inverness, St Johnstone, Hibs, and St Mirren. All very winnable games. Big loss.
  17. Never bought in to this theory that ONE player saved a TEAM from relegation by looking at an entire season. Sure the odd imporrant goal was scored but unless he was playing 'any man saves' and was playing in every position then I can't subscribe to it.
  18. I'm with milo. Getting beat by Aberdeen at the semi final stage would be a nightmare. In saying that beating them eould be one of the best football nights ever. St Johnstone or Killie. Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If not and we are off to Hampden them so be it.
  19. Billy Reid at the game last night. To be fair a lot if SPL clubs were represented at the game last night. My major concern for Saturday is the injuries to Murphy and Lasley. Hopefully won't keep them out for long. Fatigue will also hopefully not be an issue. Guys looked shattered at the end last night. Very winnable game on Saturday.
  20. Thought Jennings and Hateley had good games. Gave it to Hammell though as he was solid and possibly hasn't been getting the praise he deserves of late.
  21. I heard Stewart Kerr shout instructions to Randolph to aim his kicks/punts at Kenneth
  22. If Rangers and Celtic are in the draw (likely) and are seperated (likely) then we will be at Hampden. If we get Aberdeen I would say Tannadice and Easter Road (in that order) will be the likely candidates.
  23. That might be the very reason why the semis will be played at Hampden now.
  24. Cheers. 100% spot on. Depends who is in them.
