  1. Did Aberdeen sign Gow? Killie and Accies make the one signing each? Pretty disappointed and all in all it hasn't been the best of weeks. I thougt we were only one or two signings away from pushing for a 5th or 6th place finish. I think we will struggle to achieve that now.....unless we can bring some people in on January. So annoying when teams all around you bolster their squad and we do nowt. I can only think that money is a LOT tighter or more of an issue than I originally thought. Our dealings were solely down to Reynolds leaving. He didn't we got nothing and I think with no replacement fir JOB we could struggle greatly in creating chances this term.
  2. Aye. Glad he is staying but still concerned about the consequences of this.
  3. Has it though? We either gave him a lump sum or he will continue to get paid (less money) by us for next 9 months. Wonder what happened to the rest of the Quinn cash?
  4. Paw Broon goes to his bed at half 9 though.
  5. Beginning to look like today's activities are over......and nothing really happened for us. Ultimately surprised and disappointed we never got in that winger we so badly need.
  6. I wouldn't have believed in May that we would have kept Reynolds till January......at least. Personally I'm very happy. If he can stay motivated. I'd imagine he is pretty gutted and would have lovedca move to Swansea. Mark is smart lad and I'm sure that he realises if he impresses till January he can sign a pre contract with Swansea or any other club.
  7. I'll take that. Great draw. Went to the friendly last month. Nice wee ground as well.
  8. Again, all this talk of Killie being skint and having a reduced budget yet I bet they will still have a bigger 'players fund' than we do. If they get in anothet striker they could end up having a good season.
  9. Yet to see him in a competitive match for us (obviously) but I have seen Hollis a couple of times. Know what your saying about his size but he seemed pretty competent to me and a pair of safe hands if Randolph gets hurt etc.
  10. Kirky, my first post on Fraser was made without we realising he hadn't went to another club.
  11. Ah. Not quite the good news I thought it was gonna be. Still away but no doubt took away a bit of cash. Up front as well.
  12. Dancer! Another wage away. Cannae get access to the main site. Who has signed him?
  13. £1m seems waaaay to good to be true. £350,000 is my guesstimate. I have faith that we will bring in at least one new face before midnight.
  14. Wouldn't be happy to see Murphy go to Hibs. Don't get me wrong it is still a lot more than Accies offered but he has too big a role to play for us this year to let him go. They would need to hand over quite a bit more money before anyone at the club would be interested imo.
  15. If he does go for that amount I would be looking for two signings today. One of them has to be a winger. Will be interesting to see if Brown feels he needs to replace Reynolds experience.
  16. I remember when we knocked back Rangers and their £1m bid a little over two years ago. Pretty stunned, although if I'm honest I don't believe it, that we may get the same amount and Reynolds could get a move to the EPL. I would have been happy if we got £400,000 for him at this stage.
  17. I'll be a wee bit surprised if one of the OF don't get Brechin at home with the othet half drawing Killie. Killie seem to have a horrendous record of drawing the OF in Cups. My prediction is Dunfermline away.
  18. From the SFL website; The Draw for the Third Round of The Co-operative Insurance Cup will take place as follows: TUESDAY, 31ST AUGUST, 2010 HAMPDEN PARK 2:30pm The results of the draw will be announced on the SFL website as soon as possible.
  19. Would have to agree with TAM. I'd imagine Swindon will probably be able to pay more wages than any of the interested SPL teams.
  20. Indeed! Going out of another Cup competition to them would make me greet!
  21. What happens though if we want to bring in someone tomorrow at 3pm? Their transfer window open but ours shut? Seems like madness to me especially considering the amount of cross border dealings.
  22. Including Killie and Inverness (especially the latter)? I disagree as they have as much chance of beating us as we do them. These are the two teams imo we need to avoid imo. Although that is also due to the repetition factor.
  23. Hit on the head Malky. By the time we, and our rivals, have played ten games we will know who is most likely to get dragged into a relegation battle. I still expect it to be St Mirren, Accies, and Killie.
