For what's it's worth this rumour has now been acknowledged on BBC website in CB's interview. Although no quotes from BRown. Also says we have Gary MacDonald on trial.

And that sadly is the talk that leaves you with very little credibility and no one will take anything you say serious. To think our team will get beat in Norway, or even Glasgow, doesn't show a lack of support or knowledge. It actually shows the opposite....that we will continue supporting our team when we are against the odds and be ready to go on to the next game, and the one after, and so on if we fall short. The fact you are ready to proclaim a Motherwell victory against everyone (which I am certain you will continue to do regardless of your claims above) makes you look a wee bit silly and that you have been following football and Motherwell F.C. since we drew 6-6 with Hibs.

Now the question remains whether a local drinking establishment will link this up to, say, a few big teles??

Pretty surprised by this. I was in the shop last Friday afternoon and it seemed everytime the phone went they were having the same conversation with whoever was on the line. Pretty much "When the sponsor is in place etc". I take it the number of calls and no doubt new and sought after stock sitting in a shop effectively gathering dust began to bite financially. Wonder how many tops will be returned to have a sponsor put on them right enough? Not many I'd imagine.

I'm not 100% sure on any of the legal issues/technicalities (if any even exist) which surround this......but I'm almost certain that pubs showing similar games in the past haven't been named on here (landlord's request?).

pbruce, have you seen Motherwell this season yet? Just wondering if you think we will beat Aalesund based on the performances from last season or the team that played Breidablik. I am less confident but hopefull that with two competitive games under our belt and experienced players (some now playing their 11th game in European club competition ) and management, that we could get the job done over the two legs.

Certainly wouldn't be a disaster. Would be delighted with a score draw and over the moon if we sneak a 1-0 win. I think the important thing is to score and if we get beat do our best to make sure it is only by one goal. If we have to defend like hell then so be it. Would expect a simlilar team and formation to the one that played in Iceland.
