I'd be amazed if we DO sign him. Given the number of players we have had on trial since January (and not heard a thing about since) it would be different and refreshing for someone to break that run. Admittedly, that may be down to other factors and not just 'not being good enough'.
Now if he does get signed he must have something in the eyes of Brown/Knox and for the time being that will do for me.
Still worried about Hollis though. Like to give my posts a bit of balance
Liverpool would be the dream draw for the Play Off round IF we got that far. Cost, Limited time of work, couple of hours down the road, and playing at Anfield. Perfect.
Now going to Iceland, (hopefully) missing out on the away leg in the 3rd round and (hopefully) will now catch the away game in the Play Off Round. Obviously a LOT could go wrong with this plan
Certainly getting in about Airdrie this preseason. Glad Brown has given Coke a date (that is quite soon) to respond to the offer. As has been said a 'keeper, winger, and striker are the main priorities imo.
I posted that before I did any research.....although I don't need to now. Good work LT.
You know I only realised that a wee while after reading Brown's quotes. I wouldn't say it looks too good if he isn't at training on Monday but stranger things have happened. As for Reynolds I would be still surprised if he was with us for the start of the new league season. Worth remembering that Quinn and Clarkson reported for training before our game with Llanelli but were both pretty much gone by the time the first week was done.
For those that are going independently how are you getting to and from the ground (back to Reykjavik) before and after the game? Only thing that concerns me.
Need to sleep on this. Do I burst a fair bit of my financial tank on this trip (when I pretty much have the time off) or do I sit back and hope we get a better and easier on the pocket/to get to fixture in another round and try to get the time off then????
Hmmmm?
Club charter would need to be a decent price for me to attend this. IIRC Bucharest was £600 so looking unlikely. I'll look forward to the home leg though. I doubt it will be switched. Playing at home first suits us as we will be a week fitter and sharper in the second leg, as well as having a better understanding of the opposition, and a better chance at nicking an away goal (or two)
NWF's £245 return trip price is not bad.............although I have more faith in easyjet than megabus.
Wouldnae fancy that all night bus down to London. You'll be 'sleeping' with a knife for sure.
The fact they could be nearly a third of the way through their domestic season by the time we play them is a wee bit concerning. Thankfully the players are back a week today and have the three friendlies beforehand.
Would appear so. I had taken 21st, 22nd, and 23rd off work as I thought we would be at home first. Iceland, geographically isn't the worst, but I'd imagine I have been priced out of going. Shame.
