Thought this was an interesting bit from the site Wellfan1984 linked to; It's a different rule for the Cup winner being a Champions League entrant and a Europa League entrant; -if the Cup Winner has qualified for the Champions League, it's the runner up that qualifies (unless they have already qualified through their league position), -if the Cup Winner has qualified for the Europa League, the runner up does NOT enter the Europa League, the final place goes to the 5th place finisher. So, from this, if Celtic beat Dun Utd in the Cup Final then a 5th place finish will get us into Europe. Also the same if Dun Utd beat Celtic. If Celtic beat Raith in the final, Rovers would qualify at the expense of the 5th placed team. If Dun Utd beat Ross County then we are in. I imagine then the reasons that Dunfermline, Gretna, QOS, and Falirk have all made it in to Europe as Cup runners up recently, was due to the winning side having qualified for the Champions League. (Celtic, Hearts, Rangers X 2). EDIT: Noticed this post at the bottom of their thread; The Scottish Cup winner will qualify for the UEFA Europa League Play Off Round. The remaining teams are Celtic, Dundee United, Raith Rovers and Ross County. If Celtic win their Semi Final against Ross County, the winner of the second Semi Final between Raith Rovers and Dundee United will be guaranteed to qualify for the Europa League providing Celtic qualify for the Champions League. If Dundee United win the Semi Final, 5th place in the SPL will enter the UEFA Europa League 2nd Qualifying Round providing Dundee United have qualified for Europe through the league, as it stands both Motherwell and Dundee United will each enter one round later - Motherwell QR3, Dundee United QR4. If Ross County win their Semi Final, 5th place in the SPL will only qualify for the Europa League if Dundee United win the Scottish Cup and do NOT finish runner-up in the SPL. At one point during the match I think Gordon Young actually got annoyed with the Celtic coaches. I can't be certain but it looked like it was because of them moving out of the way of a slow moving ball that had went out for a Motherwell throw in. Bit of time wasting if you ask me. Looked like a wee bit of heated banter was exchanged but within minutes Gordon walked into their area and shook the guys hand. This was when we were 2-0 down. Fair play. Sadly won't be able to make tomorrow as I wouldn't get back in time for work. Hopefully get to see more 'home' games though. Any reason why they don't get played on Sundays though. Would give more people like myself who want to see these games a better chance of getting along?

Indeed mate. We have a few players in that team that will no doubt make a name for themselves in the first team. The fact we have a few that are pulling 'double duty' also shows the good work done by the coaching staff. I'll say one thing....I was far more impressed by Gordon Young's style of man managment and coaching over his Celtic counterparts. I noticed Wullie Falconer at the game. Is he involved with Celtic youth set up at the minute? Falkirk on Friday I see. Where is that game being played? Hope everything goes ok at the hospital btw.

Saw this on SSN last week. Signed by Crewe but they instantly put him back out on loan to the team they signed him from. Hope this hasn't been a mistake by us.

Slane was playing at Lennoxtown yesterday. Quite surprised to see Sloan and McKinnon featuring in that game as well. What position does Erwin play. Not too good on the Unders names but was quite impressed by numbers 6 (played like it meant the world), 10, and 11. In saying that there was a lot of positives in that team.

Am I the only one that doesn't 100% trust this Celtic team going to Hampden and beating Ross County?
