  1. Full marks to you for the time and effort that is for sure. Be interested to hear how it goes today. Can't make it this afternoon but will try my very best to get their next time.

Same as last summer sadly and could be a regular thing for us now. Lets just hope Broon is as shrewd in the market as JG appears to have been.

So Craig Brown just confirmed on that interview he is here for NEXT SEASON? Did I miss a meeting??? Might not get McGlinchy as his club want a loan fee. Brown explained it well, however it means we could be getting no new players in before the window closes. For a man that can't explain it, McGhee doesn't half string out the excuses. Could have been the snow, could have been getting back at 2am after Hearts game. Waaah, waaah, waaah! I can tell you Mark. You were beat by a BETTER team on the day. Simple as that. "We can go above Motherwell if we win our game on Tuesday by enough goals". Yeah 5 clear goals. Best of luck with that after today. Talk about grasping at straws.

Obviously couldn't tell at the game, and that clip doesn't shed any light on it, so will need to see the extended highlights to see how much over the line the ball was for the second goal. I thought I saw it hit the back of the net though

That will be from the book of "How do I get maximum media attention at all times" by Mark McGhee.

Delighted with that performance today. Aberdeen did start the more lively but once we scored we really did give them a pumping. Whole team was immense. Ruddy had yet more top class saves today. McGhee wasn't that animated on the sidelines. He just stood and watched. Almost like he knew there was nowt he could do. Those players looked like they had a point to provE today. I'd love to see them going up against a team led by Jim Gannon if that is how they stick it to a guy they actually liked and respected Why McGhee hasn't punted Clangers Langfield I'll never know. One of the worst in the SPL. Another good indicator of our progress is that when we were on our way to Rugby Park on Jan 16th we had a -8 goal difference. We are now level. Between John Hughes and Craig Brown for manger of the month for January now imo. Obviously, I'll be voting for CB. All I ask for though is not a repeat of the Killie-Inverness situation. We have a whole week to prepare for Accies. Same committment and effort PLEASE!!
  7. Actually thought it looked photoshopped so shows what I know Aberdeen's pitch wasn't the greatest today either so we are far from alone.
  8. My concern is he is fast as hell but sometimes only seems to be able to run in a straight line and has an O'Brienesque end delivery. Think he will get better though. Putting him out on loan wouldn't be ideal admittedly, but if it happens it happens.
  9. It must getting discussed on various radio channels last week that it was extended to midnight. SSN have the countdown to 5pm so, as previously stated, this is probably the deadline down south. Whether he has been lucky so far I don't know, but Hateley has been tremendous as right back. Although I do think Yassin may have performed better in that role under a 4-4-2 rather than a 'whatever the hell was going on' formation Gannon employed most weeks.
  10. Cracking idea. Might still be in Aberdeen tomorrow but will attend these in the future. Results dependant obviously

So many choices. Ruddy, Reynolds, Lasley, O'Brien (eventually after a slow start), Sutton for his two goals......... Going to choose Craigan though. Thought he was tremendous today.

Any idea when/if an inspection etc. will take place? I'd imagine those (me included) that are going will be leaving in next 80 minutes or so..............................

Fingers crossed mate. Been looking forward to it all week.
  14. Window shuts at midnight not at 5pm. I think we will do a bit of buisness in both directions on Monday.

Bloody hell!! Booked a hotel last night as well. Non-refundable jobbie an aw! Disaster.
  16. Jesus, couldn't recall him EVER playing for us.

    Steve Jennings

Agree with this. Still looks really sloe imo. His Motherwell career highlight could end up starting and finishing with that goal against St Johnstone.
  18. Where I stand on the issue at the moment as well. Do wonder though what kind of signings Brown would give us if he stayed after the summer.
  19. Aberdeen? Naw it cannae be. McGhee would have announced it in October.

Let us hope that kind of cockyness comes back and bites them on the bum. They are hardly the SPL's most consistent team. Admittedly, they have had a couple of good results against Hearts and one against Dun Utd but haven't they been beaten recently by St. Mirren and Accies? Accies at Pittodrie as well!! Into them. Another ground I haven't seen us win at. Never broke my Falkirk Stadium duck on Wednesday. Fingers crossed for the Pittodrie one getting burst on Saturday.
  21. Would love to see McHugh make it with us. Has potential without a doubt. Reminds me a wee bit of Skippy.
  22. Still think we have the potential to lose Reynolds and O'Brien. Obviously Slane as well too. Now as capable as I think Hateley is at RB, I'd like someone in to fill that role and another striker would be good. Sutton and Murphy have been a bit hit and miss all season. Keeping Lukas and Ruddy till May, hopefully getting McGlinchy in February, Hutch coming back to fitness, and getting another striker and defender in would be a good window. Even if we did lose the above three.
  23. Agree with all of this. Disappointing tonight as Falkirk are REALLY poor and if was 11 vs 11 for the 90 I think we would have won. Hell, we were the better team in the second half. Suppose though in the circumstances it was a good point. Killie have no worries imo. Falkirk fans designing the strips for next season will be just as well adding the IRN BRU logos on now. From where I was sitting Coke's tackle looked a nippy one. I'll need to see highlights though to decide for sure if it was a red or not. Aberdeen winning was the right result for us but not by 3 goals. Big game (again) on Saturday.
