  1. I'd be looking for between £500,000 and £1,000,000. If he goes for quite a low(ish) fee then maybe we will look back and think we should have sold him to Rangers
  2. Again, if we do get "rid" of Brown/Knox and get someone else in then that SHOULD prevent another summer of upheaval. We have had a few of them recently. Brown and Knox getting the job in the short term is good for the club and players but the negative is we could be searching for a new manager again in June. Not ideal. A part of me would rather do that now.
  3. Craigy Broon has had them practising juggling soap in training......................
  4. Went by car a few times. Ample parking at the stadium if you are there in good time. Would even imagine given the fixture you will get parked even if your running late.
  5. What age is old Emmjay? Just incase I'm old too and don't know it
  6. Fingers crossed Blackburn and Fulham get caught up in a wee bidding war then.
  7. Where did you hear that mate? London? Now there is a move.
  8. Between the first and second goals St Mirren did put pressue on us.......but before that and after the second they offered absolutley nothing. Different team from the one that we have played a couple of times already this season that's for sure. Or maybe that is just down to home/away form. Both are quite different for the Saints this season. No doubt we will probably see you in the bottom six but thems the breaks
  9. I can see him going but would be surprised if it was a Premiership team to be honest.
  10. Heard this myself. The reason why I think there must be a stumbling block somewhere between Boyle and Brown.
  11. Great three points. Thoroughly deserved. No wonder that South Stand goal mouth was a riot. That was due to the amount of time we were spending in it in the first half. St Mirren hardly came into the game in the first half. It was only when we scored they upped their game but there was still a big difference from the team that played us today to the one that put 6 goals past us in four days a few months ago. We are currently 2 points from 5th place but just as importantly 13 points (5 games worth) away from Falkirk. If Falkirk slip up tomorrow against Dun Utd and then to us on Wednesday then I would confidently state that with the points gap and the number of inconsistent teams below us, those predicting a relegation dogfight will be wrong. For another year at least However when was the last time we won three on the bounce in the league. One final point which is slightly off topic. Was listening to "Off The Ball" on the way to the game and whilst I tend to agree with a lot of what Sydney says I was very surprised to hear him say that as Motherwell's season was over he would like us to get involved in a relegation dogfight to add excitement......as long as we ultimately dodn't go down. Eh? Must be a wind up I'd rather not take that chance just to enjoy a bumper crowd at our last home game of the season. To get involved in a relegation dogfight would mean losing games like we won last Saturday, today, and even our upcoming games against Falkirk and Aberden. Who wants that? Not me that's for sure.
  12. It certainly sounds like somethin is going on. Boyle mentioned that he wanted to get the transfer window out of the way before he looks at the managerial position. However, surely that is the cart before the horse. As Broon has said the first thing agents ask him is if he will be at the club to the end of the season. Or beyond. Players could well be reluctant to sign for a manager when that very signing could be the man's last piece of official business. Reading between the lines (which is sadly all we can do at this point) and comparing ourselves to Killie, I can only imagine there is a stumbling block in the way of Brown getting the job on a more permanent basis.
  13. Excellent! Although doesn't confirm it as a done deal. Yet! Also see they are getting ready to announce the departure of Paul Slane. A "whisper" Celtic have offered a "much better" deal. Not if you come on here. More like a scream.
  14. Interesting post mate. Difference of opinion? Embarrasing for the club? Hmmmm! The stuff about O'Brien isn't entirely accurate though. There was a period in Novemeber/December where O'Brien was a sub or not actually gee=tting a game. Some put this down to rumours of JOB going to Aberdeen but would now apear to be due to a "difference of opinion" between the two.
  15. My concern is if that is the nick of it in January what will it be like come April/May? I thought Ruddy was going to lose a freak goal at some point in the second half. We have a good wee run of matches coming up at FP over the next few weeks; Rangers, Accies, Hibs, and, Killie all at home as well as the CIS Cup Semi Final. All before February is out. Could get worse before it gets better.
  16. Finlay

    St Mirren

Went for Hateley. Out of position again but think he looks solid in that right back role.
  17. Broon virtually confirmed the short term signing of McGlinchy in his post match interview.
  18. Or Jim O'Brien. I just can't see a January transfer windown where we don't cash in, to some extent, on Mark Reynolds and Jim O'Brien.
  19. Apparently arrives in second week in February. A midfielder as well. Would have preferred us to be looking at a right back and/or striker. BBC also say Craig Brown is to be confirmed tomorrow as Motherwell manager to the end of the season.
  20. BBC Radio Scotland news said so but all quiet on the Motherwell front. Imagine if it is it will be confirmed tomorrow.
  21. No worries at all. He will train with us and Falkirk, Hamilton, or a non Dundee based First Division team will take him to the summer before he disappears again.
  22. BBC Radio Scotland just announced that Motherwell have signed NZ World Cup bound defender Michael McGlinchy. Anyone else catch this or have more info?
