  1. Never in doubt Delighted it is on. Let us hope we all come back feeling the same way we did on Saturday.

    Club Shop

I thought I read on here that the shop wasn't getting a new batch of Canterbury stock till middle of February??? Can someone from the shop confirm this please?
  3. Awwww don't say that. I'm fair looking forward to this now.
  4. Morton vs Inverness cancelled for tomorrow. Means that going into Monday they won't have played a match since Boxing Day. Not sure, with us playing tomorrow and now Monday, whether that is a good thing or not.
  5. He hasn't had much luck either this season. Looks like he could be an important player for us though when he gets fit and some games under his belt.

Anybody see the pictures of Calderwood in the papers today? Killie will be lucky to get him to the end of the season. He was never the healthiest looking of blokes but those bloodshot eyes, massive gut, and big jowly fat face does not bode well for the high pressure of a relegation dogfight.
  7. Same as last year I think with last day deals.
  8. Good effort again mate. Feeling a wee bit more optimistic about this game going ahead after thinking the worst this morning
  9. As I said maybe my (wrong) interpretation of the article. However, he is clearly a sodding liar If he trained so hard why was he so unfit? The guy must have been naturally unfit and fighting a losing battle! I'm sure JG wouldn't have minded him being a "character" if he felt he was fit/good enough.

Inexperience, County, and the fact he walked away in the Summer when he was offered the job. Although I concede that might not be true. If it is then he has had his opportunity.
  11. "He didn't like my personality. I'm a bit of a character in the dressing-room and like to have a laugh. I train hard and play hard but I like to have a carry-on with the boys at the right time." Hmmm. While Gannon comes across as petty in that article I think the above highlighted part of McGarry's quote might answer some of his questions. Maybe it is just me but that reads as "likes a drink". You are MEANT to be a pro athlete. If you don't knuckle down, eat and train right, and look after yourself then others that do will be a step ahead of you before you even kick a ball. He has to try and be better in every way than his team mates to ensure HE is playing on a Saturday and they are not. For all Gannon's faults I'm not sure he got it wrong when it comes to McGarry.
  12. If something like that was available I'd jump at it. I couldn't imagne it only being £50/£60 extra though. £150 would maybe be more realistic. Right now to attend all Motherwell SPL away games it will cost you somewhere about (and possibly above) £300. I imagine though it would be a nightmare to plan. Say there is 3,000 Motherwell season ticket holders next season. We all buy into this new scheme (if it was £50 a head extra). Next game is Celtic away. "Allocation" of tickets could be a bit of a headache. Would we get 3,000 seats? Would more people want to go to the OF away if we used a scheme like this?
  13. Och naw. Something weird is going on around here. Sure I will be shot down in flames soon enough Seriously though I know Brown and Knox were to oversee things against Hearts (kinda), Hamilton, and, Inverness and the last two didn't happen......but the time frame concerning those games actually past five days ago. So what is the wait? What is going on? We wait to see how we do against Killie (if it goes ahead), Inverness, and, St Mirren before a decision is made on whether they are potential candidates to take the team to the end of the season or beyond? If we don't do well in these matches we could find ourselves heading towards that 10th spot looking for a manager in February. Not ideal. I remember thinking at the time that when the "rumour" came out that the decision (no doubt by Boyle) to boot Gannon came the week before it happened, why did JB sod off to the other side of the world for a holiday? Postpone it and take care of Motherwell was my initial thoughts (although probably not his missus' thoughts ). It was good work getting Brown and Knox in less than 24 hours after JG was sacked but as I said the time frame for their "interim period" has expired and Boyle should be back from Australia/New Zealand now. So? I think some kind of deal might already have been made. Why we haven't been updated yet I don't know.
  14. Not sure about team or formation but think we can win this. We need to win this. 2-1 Motherwell.

I'd imagine that 6 months of uncertainty, worry, and, unemployment has shook that right out of him.

Offered the job tonight. Giving an answer tomorrow. Let us be honest it will be "HELL YES, PLEASE". Full credit to Killie that is for sure.
  17. Have to agree with this. The first hour of Sportsound tonight was Killie, Killie, Dun Utd, Killie, Dun Utd and talk about the "managerial merry go round". Refreshing in one respect (no OF), slightly puzzling in another (hello.....Motherwell!). Killie are going for Chisholm and Burley and Tommy McLean wants it and I have just heard Jimmy Calderwood has been offered the Kilmarnock job. Dun Utd went for Pat Fenlon and are now looking at another shortlist. Ours has been all very short term. It is almost like the media know that Brown/Knox are here foir the long term. If that is the case then get it announced. If Boyle is still abroad tehn give yourself a bloody shake, get back here, get the finger out and make a decision one way or the other.
  18. Hey! That is twice in two days you have accused me of talking sense. That is the kind of thing that will end up sticking to my good name

Amazed at Killie stumping up compensation for someone Especially when Calderwood accidentally let slip on Radio Scotland last night that Michael Johnson was trying to phone him last week
