If we keep playing a short pass to a defender or Hateley, just outside the box when they are then in possession facing their own goal and with a striker or two charging them down, we will concede a goal sooner rather than later.

Same thing happened, if I remember correctly, in his first game against Llanelli. In saying that I am delighted with only two defeats in 14 matches in all domestic competitions.

Just back. Aberdeen didn't show up in the first half and we didn't show up in the second. Draw was pretty fair but if someone WAS going to win it I don't think it would have been us. Good to see Lukas continue his scoring although it is now Sutton that is looking out of place. I thought he had a poor game today. Murphy had some good moments right enought. I thought the exclusion of O'Brien was going to come back and bite JG on the arse. Oddly enough the team probably shouldn't have been changed at half time and J'OB shouldn't have come on till later in the match. As for previous comments about Aberdeen having one of their poorest sides in years.....I just don't see that. It is early days but rather annoyingly Mutley has got them on the right track. More importantly though JG has us on the right track too. Finally, "ARE YOU WATCHING MARK MCGHEE" was one goal too early for me. It almost tempted fate.

Radio Clyde (I know, I know) stated on 5:30 news that McGhee has come out and SAID Jim O'Brien is top of his wish list. A week before we play them as well. Amazing that. Hope this is remembered with "Motherwell make offer to McCall" as more Radio Clyde garbage. If not poor, poor, show from McGhee. Couldn't his 'wish list' have been, as a matter of respect, kept between the men that matter at Aberdeen and Motherwell? Didn't think so.

Cheers for the update Flow. I enjoyed the cup game at FP on Sunday enough to want to go along on this 'free weekend' and watch them against the Jambos. Bit disappointed it is cancelled but nevermind. Hopefully catch another game later in the season.

No first team game on Saturday so personally at a loose end. I see the Under 19s are playing Hearts at Bathgate, although I haven't seen any updates on the official site with regards to this. I'm not sure if this is something to do with trying to limit the number of folks who might turn up for the match or if it has just been a busy week down at FP and the update to the site will come tomorrow. Anyone heading along?

Can't be half as bad as the stuff I heard getting shouted at Craigan. Remarkably quiet though when young Saunders played the odd long ball.....and didn't always hit his target. In saying that the Accies fans should be embarrased by that stat. How they can survive on that weekly turnout I do not know.
