  1. Granted we won't get relegated but a low league position WOULD have a massive effect on the Club financially. Especially if we fail to perform in the domestic Cups.
  2. One out and two in I say. Complete guesswork.
  3. Wonder if he brought this up much over the last three years! Well a narrow defeat and not an embarrasment but still no goals in four European fixtures. After the game last Thursday I began to focus on St Mirren and ICT. Tonight didn't mean too much to me as it seemed 100% certain how it would go. Now the Euro run is over.......I'm glad it is. A very odd feeling and I hope if we return to that stage again I don't feel like that once more. SPL and League Cup now. Bring it on!!!!
  4. Did anyone hear the opening to 'Celebration' after the game on Sunday. Even the music guy thought we had it won. Sickeningly late equaliser!
  5. Hope there is a Plan B. In fact pretty sure there will be. One or two more new faces by 5pm tomorrow. Loans or permanent doesn't matter.
  6. Bookies could offer 500,000/1 tonight and not break a sweat. Too many injuries a a very small squad. Be nice if we kept the score down and got a goal but I don't see much joy for the lads and lassies that have stumped up the cash for this trip. At this point; Scottish Communities League Cup > Europa League.
  7. If we lost a striker and brought in Sheridan then yeah I would be happy enough.
  8. Broadfoot to Aberdeen not happening according to Scott Burns. Aberdeen need a striker not a defender. I wiuld take him in a second if we lost Hutch. Guy has a lot of big game experience. Riordian......I'd rather have Sheridan. Much improved since his time with us. Never happen though. We will being in a midfielder and defender. Nothing more......and that is based in Hutch leaving.
  9. League 1 or 2......aye nae bother.
  10. Strongly doubt it. Sure he could get a good deal in England.
  11. They were but the rest of your statement is 'what if's'. Lets see where we are when we have played everyone before we think our management team have been caught out. Far too early in the season to judge imo.
  12. Possibly due to being unbeaten in four SPL games. Hard to say McCall and Black have been 'caught out' when we are currently unbeaten and fifth in the table. If we are tenth come Xmas maybe so.....but too early for that judgement.
  13. It won't be by that score but at the same time I think we have no chance of progressing. 2-0 Levante with a battling performance from a young 'Well side.
  14. Safe to say Higdon and Ojamaa are not having the best of times together on the park. It WILL come good though. Certain of it.

    St Mirren

Would have been Hutch who was immense upuntil the yellow card. Kerr my MOTM. Hope we can extend his six month loan if last couple of games are anything to go by.
  16. Hutch was by far the best player for us......before losing his cool and getting a yellow card. Sore one losing a goal so late but St Mirren battered us in the 2nd half. Difficult to say they didn't deserve something from the game. Big week with regards to who leaves and who joins. Things looking desperate at the back for ICT. As for Levante for me the tie is dead. Rest Hammell, Higdon, and, Lasley or Law. Have a back four of Kerr-Cummins-Page-Angol and put Carswell in from start either with Law or Lasley. Give McHugh the 90 minutes as well.
  17. Good wins for County, Killie, and Hibs today. Draws amongst the other feams are never bad results for us. Sadly didn't happen today. A win tomorrow would be a great result.
  18. Likely where I'm getting confused.
  19. I always thought Hateley missed a game or two, through injury, in his first or second season. Likely the latter.
  20. Fair play to you. In all honesty even if I could get the time off work now I doubt I would go.
  21. Those guys hardly featured last season. Cummins played one game, Page must have played five maximum whilst I'd wager Carswell as used mostly from the bench. If these players HAD played for lengthy periods of the season then it might have had a different outcome. McCall knew he would get results and consistency from "his 11"....and he was right. Nothing to suggest to me that he still doesn't stick with what he thinks is his best team.
  22. Sure no player should think their space is guaranteed. I'd be surprised if Hammell isn't looking over his shoulder this season. For me consistency is the key as well. Whilst we have a squad of say 16/17 first team players the reality is they are not equal in the eyes of the manager or even in skill/ability. Not at this level anyway. Hammell-ZFA Hutchinson-Page Ojamaa-McHugh Lasley/Law-Carswell The ones on the right will generally be played when a period of poor form, injuries, suspensions, and even game chasing comes into effect. I think we all know McCall's first choice starting eleven due to ability. I'm not sure many would agrgue with it either.
  23. For a full sustained run at LB in the first team? Well, aye. That is kinda the way fitba works.
  24. Competition for places doesn't mean you don't play your strongest team though. If Hammell has had a poor run of form then yes give ZFA a chance. If Hammell has been out long term due to injury and ZFA has came in and done a job by all means keep him there. For one game....nah I'm sorry you play your best team. For me Hammell is currently the best player between the two. That may change but right now ability, experience, and the partnership he has already formed with two of the three others who are likely to feature on Sunday means it's pretty much a non decision for me.
