Cummins might be decent, so far, but he is still inexperienced. Swapping the player away from the all time SPL appearance record and one that has been very consistent for a couple of years AND featured in the team that has attained three top six finishes in a row and a Scottish Cup Final for a lad that has played one full pro game is imo utterly mental.

Truly amazing the number of folk that say they would drop Hammell for ZFA.

My stance was always winning a Cup. Even if we had won 3-0 last night I'm 100% certain that my response would still have been winning a Cup. For me the 'ultimate' achievement.....based on the fact that is IS a possibility.

No surprises at the result. Don't believe that Levante are as good as sides we have met in the past but our quality and depth isn't the same either. That's the problem. Fair play to the guys travelling but the tie is dead, again, and there has been a helluva lot of money spent on two trips that contain next to no hope. St Mirren for me is the focus now. Certainly our worst Euro campaign since 2008/09. SPL and League Cup is our main focus now. With our injury concerns I'd consider resting players next week and giving the young lads a game.

Very much a glamour tie but surprised they are charging that much. If the first tie is at Tynecastle, I think they will fill the ground no problem at all. Second leg at home might result in some empty seating at those prices.

No goals against them last season was very poor imo. Appreciate what he accomplished last season but I don't rate Shiels very highly as a manager. Be interesting to see how they perform in the league this season.

McCall has big choices to make in respect to the team he will field. I'd like to see McHugh start though. 1-1 draw for me.

When they would be worth less? Right now is ideal financially. As long as we get the chance to replace.

The problem would be the amount of experience we have lost in defence very quickly. Craigan, Clancy, and if it happens, Hutchinson in a matter of months. Saunders is out for a while and apart from Ramsden it is Cummins, Kerr, or Page in on a full time basis. At tjhis point, Kerr is only with us till January as well. We would need another defender to come in imo and at least another midfielder, possibly two, if we lose Law. If we can do that.....well that's another story.

Pretty much this imo. Sad as it is.

Hopefully get as much as possible for the two of them which would allow us to put a bit in the bank and hopefully have a wee peak at the market with regards to bolstering midfield.
