  1. It does though. With Ronaldo going to Madrid is that a step up? In footballing terms, and imo, no. He is leaving the EPL Champions and CL finalists. As an alledged Madrid fan perhaps the heart strings (and obscene amounts of cash) and ambition to do with Madrid what he did with Utd is the reason he is going. With Well-Clarkson-Cardiff this is totally different. Clarky has no ties to City....other than his good mate plays with them. Is Cardiff a step up? Without question. This sadly for us allows the bigger team to dangle the carrot in front of the player, get him unsettled, and get him for as cheap as possible. I know I'm in a minority here but I'd let Clarky go for £800,000. If that money went straight into the team what a difference that could make to next year. EDIT: My point weeyin is that under contract or not.........they would be mad not to take £1m for him.
  2. But Man Utd are much more than just 80 times bigger than the Well.........and that is the problem.
  3. I see what your driving at but with that million in the bank maybe we wouldn't have to plunder Dumbarton......for a wee while at least
  4. That is him weeyin. It was on the 5pm news on Real Radio. They were talking about how Sanchez has "thrown his hat into the ring" with regards to the manager's job. They then stated we had signed said Dumbarton player. Anyone else hear this??
  5. £1,000,000 Haggis? Honestly..........I'd be delighted with that. He is a good player but sentiments aside, and imo I should add, the loss of McCormack and Porter were greater to the club.
  6. Who is this guy Real Radio have said we have signed? Currently at Dumbarton but is an ex Everton player. Questions have to be asked WHO is doing the signing??????
  7. If Cardiff put in a high bid (£600,000-£1,000,000) for Clarkson it would be a grave error by the club AND the man himself not to jump at it.
  8. Although it is the Daily Record, Easy Target has quoted from a couple of things worry me about it. "If I'd left Motherwell for Hearts when the opportunity was there for me to do so a year ago I might called a rat deserting a sinking ship. But not now" "(Motherwell would be) under financial pressure to offload another couple of players on top of that before the new season begins". The first one is a truly DISGRACEFUL comment to make imo. The second could be garbage and a forewarning of a move for Clarky, but if it isn't.......we are in serious trouble as it DOESN'T include Malcolm, Hughes, Klimpl or Hughes.

    Mcghee

I've been a big supporter of McGhee ever since he arrived.....but I hope he NEVER darkens our 'home' dugout again.
  10. I'll send you one Flow but not sure it will be suitable due to the mention of pepper spray, a legend and his family and oddly quite a proud moment for myself!!!!
  11. Collected mine at the office today. An option for folk who stay local.
  12. I must admit at this point I'd LOVE him to go to Celtic. Although a McGhee fan I'm resigned he is away so this would be the best option. It would wind the Abedeen fans up BIG TIME and the Celtic support would feel underwhelmed by his appointment and probably not back him. Brilliant!!

    Canterbury

I trust it is just pop along to the shop on Sat 20th and your order will have been put aside for you to collect?? Due to it probably being a busy day for you are you extending your opening hours?
  14. Just curious to know.....anyone hand in their top to get signed by the first team?
  15. Negative this end!!!
  16. Can he resign and take up the Aberdeen post though?? To me that sounds VERY dodgy!
  17. Not surprised. Didn't Strachan try that with Celtic?
  18. 21 pages and the first mention of Ruud!!! Don't think he has a managerial job at the mo
  19. NO WAY he is leaving his beloved Celtic for us. Not a chance.
  20. The worry is not that McGhee and Leitch go to Aberdeen....it is that Hughes, Smith, and Klimpl follow. Although I'm glad with regards to the speculation over Leitch going if he did step up at LEAST their would have been a little stabiity. Now a new management team has to step in with the first task being a Euro qualifier minus some of our bigger names.
  21. I thought the same thing but apparently he was '25'.
