  1. If you're not good enough then that's it. If he didn't cut it, and at the end of the day I don't think he did, then it is time for him to move on and someone else like Carswell or Hetherington to take their shot at a first team spot. Law, Daley, Humphrey, Lasley, Murphy, Ojamaa, Hetherington, Ramsden and Carswell could all do a shift, at some point, in a four or five man midfield. No reason why a good number of them couldn't play in the middle as well.
  2. One thing I'm sure of is releasing Forbes was the best thing for us. I have no doubt he will get another Club but it won't be for similar wages.
  3. As I said apologies. Thought that was you.
  4. Dewell, were you not the guy who contacted BBC TV months after McCall got the job and not long before we got to the Scottish Cup Final stating he was the wrong man for the job? Apologies, if I have wrong person.
  5. Naebody would be happier than me......but that score would seriously turn me to religion.
  6. The discussion was on before we knew we were playing PAO Realism rather than negativity, I think.
  7. I can understand if you are going to Athens you need to believe that the tie is still alive due to the money paid etc. However, it is a massive, massive, ask and imo not going to happen. Focus being turned to the Europa League is hardly surprising and pretty realistic imo.
  8. A knee op? Boy has zero luck and the amount of time spent on the sidelines could end up having a big impact on his career.
  9. Pretty sure Page took one for the team at Easter Road last season but willingbto be corrected on that.
  10. Nar fear if the traffic polis pulled ye ower then on the way doon the road
  11. No way are we pumping Ross County at their patch on their first game in the SPL. I fully expect them to be better than that. 2-1 narrow victory to us.......but hoping I am miles oot with my opening sentence and reminded of it
  12. "Significant damage" to the seats now being mentioned on the official site. Caused by standing on them or blatant vandalism? Who knows. Either way very disappointing. EDIT: Just seen that it was not malicious......so looks like the former. Not quite as bad but still money that could be better spent elsewhere.
  13. I can't say that I have noticed that they don't get on. Not convinced this is the case either. The biggest moaner in the team is Higdon. Constantly on his team mates backs. In that respect he must be heavily disliked which I don't believe so either. Murphy was raging last night. Quite rightly as well. Even if they did despise each other such a thing isn't uncommon. You are not going to get 18-22 guys in a dressing room and there not be issues. We were told Ojamaa was a bit selfish. We have seen it for our own eyes since he joined. Sometimes it works. Sometimes it doesn't. Thats fitba.
  14. Go for it and use as preperation for EL. Tie is finished. No question. This is easier to take when we know that we will still be ccompeting in Europe beyond this fixture. Sure we could score but I think there is no chance of us shutting them out at their own ground. I just hope the away tie doesn't end up being 3 or 4 nil. Play the first team until they score. After that bring on three youngsters, at different times, in order to give them more experience.
  15. In saying that I do think McCall sees Saunders as a RB or he wouldn't have signed Ramsden as Page/Cummins would have been back up to Hutch/Saunders. Devlin is 3rd in line behind Saunders and Hateley for the RB position. Saunders will get his chance but there will need to be an injury or suspension in that back line that plated tonight before he gets it. When he does get that chance he'll need to make sure he takes it and keeps his place......and stats clear if injury. Obviously the latter is in the lap of the Gods.
  16. Ah, thought he was again. Apologies.
  17. If that's the case it is a season long emergency. I am now convinced, rightly or wrongly we all have opinions, that McCall doesn't rate Saunders. Imo at this moment, Hutchinson and Ramsden are McCall's first choice centre back pairing.
  18. Going to be in the minority here but I think Nicky Law was our best player tonight.
  19. Harsh? I don't think so at all. That's why they beat us. Some of their players were a good bit better than some of ours. Some of ours matched theirs. Very similar when we come up against Celtic and when we used to come up against Rangers.
  20. I agree. It WOULD have been worse if it had been coins etc. but still a letdown that it happened.
  21. PAO were good but I thought they would have been better. That first goal is the third one since 2008. Nancy home, Odense away, now PAO at home. Some of our players looked out of their depth but some held their own. I'd need to agree with Crags, I thought Law was our best player. Tie is over. No question at all. Even talk of using some youngsters in the game next week. I'm not sure about that as I'd start with my strongest team and start using subs the minute they score. Next week is a chance for the players to get another 90 mins under their belts and experience for EL, nothing more.
  22. What was being thrown? Just card or other objects?
  23. Good input mate. Will be much appreciated by all those that are travelling.
  24. Didn't know Fitzy was now a first choice LB at County. I hope Fraser hasn't improved.
