    New Season

    I'd agree with that.
  2. Rescheduled to tomorrow??? Possibly if twitter is anything to go by. Might be 'closed doors' though or in afternoon.
  3. Already decided I won't be going to the away Champions League game for a couple of reasons. Money involved, potential opponents and locations, strong feeling a 'better' trip will be waiting for us in August (even if EL) and so on. If we drew Bruge I might need to rethink some of this.
  4. Birmingham's derisory bid will still be able to utterly humilate ours though. Still no chance of this happenning this summer......imo
  5. The Cash Converters Arena If it meant an extra £1m I'd put off with it. Just a name The main challenge, imo, is trying to get people motivated for the long haul. This isn't going to be 6 months of full on support from as many of us as possible then everything back to 'normal'. I have a feeling that due to the actions of Rangers' previous owners that the knock on effect will hang around us, and our rivals, for a number of years. I just hope the support can stay motivated, help with fundraising without the same people contributing over and over again, even IF we find ourselves sitting 9th and 10th in the table. That would be a real major challenge for the Club I think. The knock on effect of a 'poor' season is dwindling attendances. That will be a catastrophe for a few teams next season.....and perhaps beyond. Another reason why I hope we are able to stay as consistent as we generally have been over the last few years. More important now than ever.
  6. Hopefully the current situation doesn't have the vultures swooping looking for very cheap deals. Randolph is our main asset. I hope the Club get a fair amount for him.
  7. Season before last I think. Maybe an idea for when the £1,000 target for the Well Society Membership is reached
  8. No doubt there will still be shirt, boot, and glove sponsorship available. I think there might even be two or three shirts per player available this season.
  9. The best thing about additional season ticket sales is that it could also have an impact on programmes sold, the 50/50 lottery, pre and post match drinks in the Cooper Suite, food and drink whilst in the stadium and so on Hospitality is also an option as gifts around about Xmas time. Andy's Well Society membership subscription also needs additional contributions in order to reach the £1,000 total. All areas which wouldn't hurt with a wee boost.
  10. At the same time I'm pretty sure we can rationally discuss the merit of these ideas, how they can be improved, any holes that the person coming up with the idea might not have seen and so on. From that discussion better ideas will be formed.
  11. Although a good idea and I'm sure the Club Shop appreciate it the money would go into that rather than assisting the Club. The most obvious, best, yet possibly hardest idea is to try and persuade as many people you know to take up season tickets for this coming season.
  12. They couldnae afford us.
  13. Some of these teams sadly COST a fortune to play. I mean weren't Celtic CHARGING £2m to play in Holland recently? Simple, easy to organise ideas that turn a profit should be the idea. However I'd like to see people actually get something for their money rather than blindly handing over cash. Even if that means entering into monthly lottos/raffles at least there is a chance of winning something even if it lunch with the players or a signed shirt.
  14. Who is crying? I don't see anybody crying. Just people rightly pointing out that non regular attendees of Fir Park will likely be put off with the £30 a ticket price tag and the possibility of a less than impressive crowd attending such a big game.
  15. Just out of interest there has been quite a few posters over the last few months stating if Rangers go into the SPL (or now 1st DIv) they will not return. After the Well Society vote and imo one of the above two certainly happening (imo) is anyone still sticking to their guns or the thought of no football now a step too far?
