I must admit if Rangers are not in the top division next season I do think Celtic will have the league wrapped up (no pun intended) by Xmas. No probs at all. However, the rest of us will be slogging it out for 2nd.....which is better than it has been, one season aside from Hearts, in nearly 30 years.

Yes, lose our CL 3rd Round tie and we are in the EL Play Off Round. Win our CL 3rd Round Tie and lose the Play Off Round tie and we are in the EL Group stages. Obviously if we win the CL Play Off Round.....but I think with the best will in the world......... We are getting some form of EL football.

Should be.....but would be interesting if Sally blew it. If they looked like finishing second you would get a decison around about April that it is two up and two down. If that hasn't already been changed. That way Rangers in the SPL for Season 2013-14 is guaranteed.

How many of their players will want to 'slum' it in the First Division for a year? That level should eliminate any player from international football even if they are winning every week. So they turn to the Under 20s for a year? No guarantees of promotion....then what?

We are guaranteed to be in the Europa League. That IS what I typed. The chances of us being in the Europa League Play Off Round are, even for the most optimistic 'Well fan, very high.

Pathetic? Really? We are guaranteed to be in the Europa League. I doubt for one second ANYONE on this forum is hoping "we get pumped out the champions league qualifiers so we can get pumped again by the likes of liverpool or inter in the europa qualifier". That is crazy talk. Like most, I see the chances of progression in the Champions League as slim. Talking about the POSITIVE that is the Europa League if we don't progress certainly isn't a negative in my book. We should be monitoring where we end up and what teams we could get.

Financially (and for time off work) Liverpool or Newcastle would be perfect. Would certainly mean the end of our Euro adventure though.

When we have reported a loss for this season? When the financial security of the Club is the number one priority (and that's not touching on all the 'other' stuff that is going on at the moment)? What if we fail to get into the group stages of the Europa League after splashing some cash? I'd wager that is a risk that the board won't take. I appreciate that £200,000 has been slashed off the wage structure. I am not 100% sure either why or how that figure was reached. I'd imagine the loss of Craigan, Clancy, and Forbes and a few other fringe players has covered that. Jennings will either sign on again or he will be replaced (likely imo). After that there will be one or two loans......and a financially, at this time, stable Club. Suits me just fine. Gambling on a run at the Group Stages of the Europa League, above and beyond what we have, is not a wise move imo. The core of the squad got us to the position we are in. We need to give them the chance and have faith that they could get us to the Group Stages of the Europa League.
