Certainty to be playing in the Championship next season imo.
-
Couldn't agree more. Been on a poor run since the Hibs game at Fir Park imo. Scored against Celtic at Fir Park the last time so fingers crossed. 'Mon the Higgy.
-
I'd wager brother in law.
-
Holland or Portugal would be good. Not so tempted by the rest.
-
Bottle merchants when they have something to play for. Not so much in a meaningless game (for them) like Sunday.
-
CAN you withdraw your £300 now that it has been set up though?

We were helped by the fans of others. However the charges against Rangers, if true, of dual contracts, non payment of tax etc. are pretty unique and different to what we have sadly been accustomed to when Clubs this side of the border experience financial difficulties. Hatred or not of the OF they SHOULD be punished and dumped down the leagues. However, I think I always knew that they would be protected. I don't think that has came as much of a shock to anyone. Disgusting, yes. Surprising, no. Don't get me wrong I could be one of the people that will continue to go to Fir Park for home and Cup games. Each to their own and no individual decision to attend or boycott games are wrong. We can all see it coming. We know what is going to happen. So my question would be isn't this the time to conduct a league wide boycott when there is a chance to influence the decision? Or are there too many important and exciting fixtures coming up? A boycott next season will surely achieve very little. I'm just not 100% convinced that if we find ourselves in 2nd place for a while next season, playing good football and winning games, with the wee odd initiatve for cheaper tickets at Fir Park that people, especially members of this forum, will continue to stay away. Again, what are the future of these forums if people are so disgusted by the situation that they will stay away. Will they still log on to this forum, Pie and Bovril, and many others to discuss something they can't stomach anymore? I might be very wrong on this. No one knows for sure at this stage.

I can see your point about League vs Cup but for me it is all or nothing. If we draw 'Rangers' at Ibrox in the Cup, and you feel THAT strongly to boycott Motherwell vs St Mirren at Fir Park, then you are giving money to them (admitedly as well as our team) and funding their return to financial health.
-
If we draw Rangers or Celtic home or away?

Nae luck you. He'll see ye and kill ye

Interesting. I'm sure the Club execs up and down the country would be hoping that this very negative feeling from the paying public would mellow over the coming months or some of it is talk. Does this 'never go back to the football' extend to Champions League or Europa Leage matches? Plum draws away in the Cups or Cup Finals? If, for example, the opeing day of the season was Ross County vs Motherwell at Victoria Park (not going to happen now).....how many would turn that down? Honest and serious questions here. The sad thing is I have seen many disgraceful decisions over the years.....and although attendances (possibly in the away ends) have dropped, a lot of us have kept going back. I think the Clubs expect this to happen no matter what goes on. Motherwell vs Hibs, Hearts, ICT, Killie, Aberdeen and in reverse I expect to be the same, attendance wise, if I am being honest. Motherwell vs Celtic or Rangers and in reverse I CAN see being boycotted. However, at that stage where Govan Rangers are in the SPL and we are a quarter of the way through the season I'm not sure what that will achieve. By that point they are in th SPL and off Scot free. Apart from zero history and no trophies to their name. As I said August 4th is going to be very interesting.
-
In all seriousness I'm interested in how many WOULD stop going to Fir Park due to what looks like happening.....................as utterly disgusting as it is. Or would 'forget' after a few months and return to watch their team. I think some may be lost forever. Others, maybe the majority of people who are disgusted, might not miss a game. Total boycott of OF fixtures home and away? Must be a possibility as well. MASSIVE gamble for the SPL/member clubs to make. August 4th 2012 could be a very interesting day.

Same could be said about Celtic and Humphrey. Ultimately time will tell for both.
-
Unless I'm mistaken they still play football in the Championship. No matter how fast Humphrey is, Jennings who is a better footballer will always be a more attractive option. Once/if everything is cleared up. Jennings a poor passer of the ball? I just don't see it. Slow? He isn't Humphrey/Daley but you can't say he is John Sutton either. One if the best footballers in our team. If circumstances had been resolved by this time last year he would have been playing in the Championship right now.
-
So Humphrey could do a turn at the Championship level (as a starting point) but Jennings would need to settle for League One? Delusional. Truly delusional.
-
Liverpool and Spurs? Aye. Right. Three or four good games in a row now but he had a long spell this season where he was very poor.
-
Aye, could just be one game. When it kicks in though? Anybody's guess.
-
How long for this time? Page unavailable for next two games I take it? Humphrey was our MOTM without a doubt. A point is better than nothong but I thought we were shocking in the first half. I still feel Higdon has contributed very little since we beat Hibs 4-3. Ojamaa has went off form and Law probably justified his not being hooked with that goal. Lasley didn't have his best game but fair play to Hutch, Page, and, Clancy at the back.
-
Below Randolph, Hammell, Jennings, and, Lasley imo. He is versatile and has been a shrewd signing (one we needed after Saunders' injury) but, for me, nowhere near POTS.
-
That would be an excellent set of results. We beat Celtic on top of those other two and I'm booking days off at work for Europe!
-
Ross County vs Motherwell a stick on for one of the Cups now
-
Exactly. A seven point gap would be excellent but I can't see the OF winning four games each against the rest of us. Somebody will take points off them that could be crucial. Hopefully it is us on the 22nd.
