Both Killie and ICT were beaten at Ibrox. They did put up more of a 'fight' right enough. Rangers league defearts, unless I'm mistaken, have all been away. Still beat us 3-0 at Fir Park mind you. Certainly easy points for them at the moment.

Certainly a case for giving some fringe players a run out and pack the bench with the regular starters just incase.

Exactly. Still plenty football to be played. At the start of the season I thought we might struggle to get top six. I think I predicted a 7th placed finish. The fact we are clear in third place in January......tremendous. I think we will finish somewhere between 3rd and 6th. Probably like many. Whilst 5th or 6th would be a healthy enough return, I think the season so far has left many with the idea that anything less than European football next season would be a disappointment. I kind of agree with this......although you could say chickens were being counted and we have all got a wee bit carried away on occasion. Still plenty time and if I had to put a large sum of money on a finishing place now I'd say fourth.......and that's still European fitba!

Poor performance (as is becoming the norm in Glasgow) today. Randolph kept the score 'respectable'. Ibrox was freezing as well. Pretty miserable day all round. Bring on the Scottish Cup!!!

3-0 win for the 'Well and a safe passage to round five. Where we get Rangers at Ibrox!!!!
-
6 bookings required. Lasley and Hutch are on 5 each.

Tickets purchased today. Really hope we can give them a really hard game. We have fell to pieces in Glasgow quite a bit in the last few years. Very rarely do we catch Rangers on an off day at Ibrox. Although maybe some of thst is down to US. ICT for example always give them a tough time in Glasgow. Time to show them zero respect. There will be a poor (for them) home support I think. We go 1-0 up and it could be very funny. The key, as always, is to avoid conceeding an early goal in either half. 1-0 down we are always in it and a draw still on the cards. The minute it goes 2-0 (if it goes 2-0) it could be damage limitation time.

He kind of is. Pre contract anyway. Given Clubs could have picked him up in the Summer and their might be unresolved issues still outstanding I'm not sure who woukd be willing to take him on. If (when) these issues are cleared I think there will be a number of Championship Clubs in for him. Especially if they are getting him for wages only.

Who knows what the January transfer window will do to Hearts. A good team but if their off field priblems continue then it will begin to have an effect. If they do finish 3rd someone will obviously need to finish 4th, potentially the final Euro spot. St Johnstone have already suffered injuries to both their main strikers and have came through that to sit in a pretty good position. I wouldn't bet against them for a Euro spot at the expense of us or Hearts.

Many would say that we ourselves are one of the 'lesser teams' and we have been quite fortune this season and perhaps for a few before it. St Johmstone do concern me as they are like every other non OF team in our league....same level as us and as prone to good and bad results. There is next to nothing between the remaiming 10 in the league and if St Johnstone get a run together and enjoy some of the fortune that we have had on occasion, third could be theirs no problem.

Decent results at Pittodrie and NSP if nothing else. Pity St Johnstone won but hopefully ICT will beat them on Monday.
-
It will be closed mate. Best bet is to get yourself up there early tomorrow.
-
Missed that as well. Need to get up to Fir Park tomorrow and hope for the best. After that the best option is getting away end tickets from Rangers? Anyone had to do this? The only other option after that is to buy tickets for their end. If they get pumped tonight some of us could get a row each
-
Looking for Aberdeen ( ) and Killie to do us a wee turn tonight and take some points from Hearts and St Johnstone respectively. It is certainly possible that come Monday night we could see ourselves in 5th place if our two closest rivals pick up maximum points tonight and see off Hibs (Hearts) and ICT (St Johnstone) on the 2nd. Admittedly they would be above us on the slimest of margins.....but still a wee confidence boost for them nonetheless.

Disappointed as always when a game is off but understandable. Although sod watching Celtic vs Rangers when two can get in for the price of one at the Cinema on a Wednesday
-
Jennings miss Rangers game then?
-
This wind is due to die down before the game you all say? Hope so or it will be another turgid 0-0 or a 90 yard wind assisted rocket clearance will win it 1-0.

Taking more chances at goal should be the aim of Jamie and a few others in the team regardless of position played. You can play any formation you want but if you don't shoot you don't score. Our 'problem' at home and away sometimes seems to be our desire to want to score from 8 yards or less. I want to see Murphy, Law, Jennings, Hughes etc. hit more shots and test opposition keepers.
-
First capture? We can but dream
-
Some might......but I would have him at Fir Park without question.
-
Nothing at all. That is why I hinted at the line of argument for Foran possibly being overrated with us but now a very good player.
-
I'd like to see some of our players taking shots, from distance, at goal. By distance I mean 25 yards and under. I think Dunfermline will pack the defence when we are in possession and it will be difiicult for us to break them down. I'm not being short sighted with regards to our passing game but at home I think this can play into the opposition's hands (crowd gets agitated) especially if the game remains at 0-0 for a lengthy period of time. Shoot on sight until we get the first, force them to attack, then carve them open with our passing game. If someone is having a 'mare it doesnn't mean they are a bad player (some comments to Hateley on Saturday were well OTT) just it isn't there day. In saying that McCall should be recognising this and making the CORRECT changes. I think he got it wrong on Saturday. Dunfermline will set up differently to the gsme at East End Park. If we win I don't think it will ne by anymore than 2-0.
-
There is a case for that. There is a case though for which one would you rather have right now? Was never a fan of Foran when he was with us but he has matured and turned into a very good player.

£15 for a 4 year old? That's ridiculous. Sadly you are not alone, alanr. A friend of mine got hit for £15 for his Son and despite a wee bit of complaining by us the blame was placed at Motherwell's doorstep for advertising the £7 prices. Were these the 'early bird' juvenile prices? Even if they are a jump of over 50% is a right sore one.
