  1. Previous posts have summed the day up perfectly. From Tom Hateley's performance (he has been quality this season and will bounce back) to Hearts players playing for a move, to the ref being truly awful, to a few results elsewhere going against us it is safe to say it was a crappy day. I still think we could be doing with another option up front even if was a loan deal. Not sure what Hughes is in per appearance but midfield is not where we are toiling. In saying that the Club's venture with the SA worked well as was evidenced by the large away crowd.

    Hearts

    Null vote from me today.
  3. No danger of a sell out but with free buses, an early kick off on what should be a long weekend for many I'm hopeful of our best crowd at Tynecastle in quite some time.
  4. Wanting a manager out after six weeks is a kneejerk reaction and a half though.
  5. Doing a cracking job. As previously mentioned we might be cashing in on McCall in the summer if a couple of Championship teams are looking for a manager at the same time. Certainly would wish him luck if he chose to down the road.. The chance of managing in Europe might tempt him to stay though. If we finish 3rd though it would be hard to get the same result or better next season. So does he take that move down South IF it comes up or dows he stay for the final year of his contract? Not an easy choice.
  6. Anyone know how many seats are available at their PATG prices then? Approx.....
  7. As has been said a good chance for Carswell and Hughes as one of them should start in his place on Saturday. Carswell has played well at Tynecastle before. If Forbes gets on as a sub he needs to put on a really good performance to force McCall to figure him into his future plans. Another option would be Humphrey-Law-Lasley-Daley as well I suppose. Either way some big decisions from McCall and the board with regards to the appeal and for McCall and Black for the team on Wednesday.
  8. Surprised Jennings is getting offered the exact same as Goodwin. Alright he wasn't squeaky clean but a two match ban?
  9. Waving wage slips would be in poor taste
  10. As far as match chat goes I'd take a point from this I think. Hearts have had an odd season so far losing more games than they have won or drawn but they have the best defensive record outside the OF (14 goals conceeded in 18 SPL matches). Certainly when they are getting beat it would appear to be by the odd goal only. We have had a cracking run at Tynecastle since the last league game of 2009 so hopefully that continues. A point on Saturday and three at home to Dunfermline (hopefully) on the 28th would be a very good way to end the year.
  11. Appears that Clubs can put themselves forward for the pilot.
  12. Section for home and away I'd hope but the majority will still remain seating. To be honest I'm more than happy to sit at the fitba now but those that want to stand, and prefer to do so, should be accomodated. Whether every Club will pilot this scheme, some are chosen or volunteer.....who knows. Either way I, like everyone else on here, will be watching these developments closely.
  13. To be honest I have seen it much worse than that at Fir Park and at quite a few away games at this time of year (Gordon Young's game in charge at Tynecastle at the end of 2009 springs to mind). I'd say the worst of the weather is still to come................

    St Mirren

Thought Jamie Murphy looked dangerous. Slowly coming back to his best hopefully.
  15. Onside and it was a stick on penalty. Offside so nae joy for the Buddies
  16. Whilst I think we really do need a bit of additional talent/experience up front it would be great for the team and our race for 3rd if we were able to keep this current group of players till June.
  17. Jennings' was certainly a card. Rush of blood to the nut for sure.
  18. Fair play to St Mirren as they came to Fir Park and went for it which made for a far more entertaining game than more recent ones at home. Good passing side that either defends very high or, like ourselves away from home, are pretty rapid on the counter attack. Lennon has built a half decent side and if they get a bit of luck they could be top 6. Grudgingly their goal was a bit of a belter. Ref was an utter shambles for both sides I think. The less said about him the better. A point is a fair result for us from that game. Hearts obviously gained two points on us today but again the headlines for them are with regards to more off the field matters. They will run hot and cold for the rest of the campaign. Killie losing a last goal to Dun Utd was a REAL bonus however. Other teams round about us drawing their games are what we should be looking for. A Celtic win tomorrow and it hasn't been that bad a weekend for us. Onto Tynecastle next week.
  19. Cracking gesture by the Club. Hopefully the SA will benefit from it as well and we can look forward to a large (and vocal) support at Tynecastle next Saturday.
  20. Scott Burns reporting on twitter that two players have been offered new deals and testimonials. That wee additional sweetner should hopefully see Hammell and Lasley sign on for another year at the very least.
  21. Lasley's against ICT on the first day of the season has to be a contender. Most enjoyed goal must be Hateley's freekick at ICT.
  22. Yeah, got to say I'm pretty pleased with the result tonight although I do hope Hibs gub Aberdeen on Saturday.
  23. Every game for Aberdeen is about poor luck and injustice. Same old tired chat from Mr Brown.
