  1. Randolph Hateley Clancy Craigan Hammell Daley Lasley Jennings Law Murphy Higdon That is still a good team. However, if this isn't working then changes need to be made before we are out the game. If that means switching to a back three/midfield 5, introducing Forbes or Page or Carswell or Humphrey as early as pre HT then so be it. I think Chris needs a wee turn on the bench and Omar will have that 'surprise' bonus against a team that won't know much about him.
  2. I can see that train of thought. However, the other way to look at it is these lads aren't getting on when we are winning and going on at 5-0 at Ibrox, in my opinion anyway, is a good bit harder than 0-3 to St Johnstone. Forbes and Page have played domestic and European football for us so imo they are neither kids or inexperienced. I'm not convinced a run out for either of them today would have set them back. Quite the opposite infact.
  3. 2-1 Motherwell AET. Can't see this being decided in 90 mins.
  4. Revenge is sweet and all that. Stevie H got it pretty tight from the Saints fans for about the last 20 mins. I hope he remembers this and reacts (by that I mean plays very well) accordingly in Perth. Best wind up is to win. Terrible performance. Hardly threatened their goal. I would like to have seen Daley and Forbes come on after 60 mins with Humphrey and Jennings going off. I also would have liked to have seen Page come on even at 3-0. Frustrating times for a few of the 'fringe' players that is for sure. Massive two games coming up.

A blow but could have been worse. An international break is included in this so that is a plus.
  6. Ideal time to have the second meeting.

Page will be back up but now looks likely to get game time. Football is a funny game and whilst injuries to Hutch and Saunders are bad for the team and fans it is a positive for Page who now has a real chance to get on the park on a regular basis and build a career for himself. His aim, possibly along with Clancy, should be to ensure they can't be immeadiatley dropped upon the return of Hutch. Massive opportunity and when presented he really needs to take it.

Null vote for me. Just never felt we were in it and no individual player in Claret and Amber seemed to be ahead of the rest.
  9. Crutches obviously precautionary but if he has aggravated an old injury or suffered a new one it is very bad news for the lad and the team. Hateley-Clancy-Craigan-Hammell. Any injury to one of those four now (especially Craigan) and we would be in massive trouble. Page has some experience (although doesn't appear to be rated) so I wonder if Hutch IS out for any length of time whether we sign a free agent for cover on a 4-6 month deal.
  10. GD wiped out as feared but this is actually small news compared to Hutchinson apparently on crutches. Talk of cruciate ligament damage. Disaster.
  11. Even if, as we all fear, we come away with 0 points today we are currently sitting with a GD of +4. If we come away with anything but a + in front of our GD today I think that is when I'll be pretty gutted. We have done pretty well at the back this season and I'd hate to see all the good work undone within 90 minutes.

Really? From where I was watching Broon didn't seem to rate him that highly and Sutton went on the public record stating that he would probably benefit from his departure. He did.
  13. I can see something in this but ultimately it fails when it is Ross County vs QOS, ICT vs Killie, and a host of other fixtures. Not too fan freindly then. It would only work if Clubs were very close to one another. EDIT: 11am is too early imo. 1230pm latest for me.
  14. Not surprised. Well deserved.

Wonder what Sergio will think of Kevin Kyle when he gets back to fitness? I don't see that going the way of the player either.

One day at weekend, one day midweek I presume. Could be a good idea. Not sure how days are made up hours wise or anything. Will be interesting to see how the players respond to it right enough. Mancini certainly faced a revolt at Man City when players faced with double sessions felt 'over worked'. I'm sure weall have opinions on that. Sergio certaintly feels things aren't working and this is his effort to change it. Fair enough.

Which knowing Hearts could be anytime. Sergio doesnae seem slow at making his authority known. I see he has cancelled midweek days off for the Hearts players already.
  18. Would like to think we could get a win or a draw out of this game but I can see it being a narrow Celtic win. £26 quid a ticket is a bit of a sore one as well.
  19. Aye, those quotes are something else. Similar to when posters were getting quoted on the front page of the Motherwell Times after the Hibs fans tried some nonsense in the Town Centre at the start of the year. Journalism from your desk 101.

    Nicky Devlin

That is bad news. Lad sounds like he has potential. Hopefully nothing that will keep him sidelined for too long.
  21. Aye, that is a good post fatcalf.
