  1. Depends in how long that rain is on for. Certainly could end up waterlogged.
  2. Weather forecast for the south west over the weekend? Chance this game could be off?
  3. Scotland or America? I think we could lose out again.
  4. A blow for sure.....but wouldn't mind seeing what Gunning is like as a player. Looks like he can hit a shot/swing in a cross. I have no doubt we will sweep past Stranraer by a few goals, but we are going to struggle against defences like we came up against tonight if our strikers don't regain their form.

    Kilmarnock

Since I cannae vote for Cammy Bell I'm going to say Jennings.

    Casagolda

One thing we know for certain is that he won't be with us in July.
  7. Positives and negatives. On the plus side we dominated that match and outplayed one of the so called best footballing teams in the league. The guys gave 100% and if it wasn't for Cammy Bell we would have won that match 2 or 3-1. Jones looks to be decent and we might start to see a better standard of football now. Some of the stuff under Brown wasn't pretty but the wins were good. Negatives. When you look at it these might outweigh the positives.....certainly in the short term. I saw nothing to suggest Casagolda was a footballer. Pretty anonymous and offered little. Murphy was bullied out of the match and I think we will suffer long into May and breathe a sigh of relief when this season finishes and that will be down to McCall, for whatever reason, failing to sign a striker to replace Blackman. Murphy and Sutton are both off form and Casagolda just doesn't have it. If this continues we will slip further down the league. 3rd is long gone. 4th is just gone imo. 5th is starting to disappear over the horizon due to Dun Utd having three games in hand and being one point better off than us. At present we are in a battle for sixth place with ICT, St Johnstone, and Aberdeen. With two of our next four games being against the Old Firm (didn't that come round quick again) I think we could be struggling to stay in the top 8 come March. I just wonder after another freezing cold, wet night at Fir Park whether this sore and quite important loss will tempt some not to come back this season. I still can't shake the feeling if we had got a striker I would be a bit more confident for the remainder of the season. I can see Jones, Gunning, Sutton, Craigan, and Jennings leaving us in the summer. McCall has a major rebuild on his hands.
  8. Interesting to note the most prolific teams as far as bringing in new players this season are Celtic, St Mirren, and Accies. Accies have brought in a staggering 17 players throughout this campaign. Least active have been Dundee United with four. The most players brought in by one club in January was Killie with 6. No idea on the stats for players leaving. That will no doubt have some bearing.
  9. ICT vs Dun Uts is off. A win tonight will now see us go from 8th to 5th place.
  10. Interesting section from McCall's interview on the offcial site; “We have the opportunity to get people in from Scottish clubs and free agents. We are still searching and I would be hopeful of bringing in one or two people before the end of the season. I’ve had a couple of names thrown at me, but I know of three or four other SPL clubs who are getting the same names put to them. “I’d like to think a couple of young kids will come through and make their mark like they have done over the years here. “The fans, like me, we haven`t seen enough of Casagolda. But he’s a good kid; I’ve looked at his clips when he has played and he scored a couple of goals in a bounce game last week. He is raring to go and I’m sure he will get his chance soon.
  11. St Johnstone looking good for the 3 points against Accies. This will see us drop to 8th. Our next two league games are at Ibrox and Pittodrie. A win tomorrow night is crucial or we could soon see ourselves not even being seeded for the League Cup next season.
  12. I think people are a bit concerned as last January it was one out (McGarry) and one in (McGlinchey). The fact we retained Ruddy and Lukas meant it wasn't that bad a window. The squad wasn't weakened in any way. This time it is four out and two in and imo the squad has been weakened.....in the forward line anyway. Suspensions/Injuries to Sutton and Murphy and we will be in trouble. Right now I don't fancy giving McHugh or Smith a longterm starting berth in the team.
  13. Given McCall's interview on SSN I would say this thread could be closed now
  14. This is what happens when we don't sign a striker
  15. Anyone seen an 'Ins and Outs' list for the SPL?
  16. The lack of rumours means that we might not have anyone in by tomorrow's game. We should be too strong for Stranraer on Saturday but I would like to see a striker in for our visit to Ibrox the following week.
  17. I haven't a scoody doo who.......but I'd be surprised if our squad wasn't bolstered by one striker by this time tomorrow.
  18. A striker is a must. If Sutton and/or Murphy get injured/suspended we could be in some bother.
  19. What I thought as well. 2-2 draw.
  20. Kinda just catching up. Where this Daly chat originate? First I have heard of the guy. Out and out striker?
  21. The 'ftp' chat displayed by Kris here is nothing short of embarrassing. Chronic stuff.

    Casagolda

His time was up quite a while ago. Just playing the waiting game now. If he doesn't get decent game time against Stranraer then I think it is safe to say he is considered THAT poor a player by the management team.
  23. Wolves was also mentioned to me. Be an interesting one. McCall stated on the radio we won't lose anymore players.
