Absolutely this. If possible, we should offer him some extra dosh saved from binning the likes of Lucas and Chalmers and give him the captaincy (assuming Las will be a coach/play much fewer games next season).
-
Just about to watch the playoffs - anyone think Tony Andreu would be worth asking about? Not sure about his contract situation at Norwich but I imagine he's well down the pecking order there. Can't say I've seen much of him recently but he had a very impressive spell at Accies before he went down south. He's not too dissimilar in style to Skippy as well.
-
I know it didn't work out when he came back but £100k for what was essentially a 4 month loan isn't too shabby.
-
Does anyone know how much we got for Pearson when he went to India?
-
Same here! Glad they didn't shit the bed this time and we stayed up so I can have a couple of 'home' games next season.
-
He signed a 1 year deal at Accies a few weeks ago. You're right though, he was looking sharp in the few highlights I saw.
-
That's Craig Moore signed on at Ayr. No surprise there really. Shame he didn't be kick on after that first touch wonder volley against Hearts.
-
I saw an interview with Frear which mentioned the guys are back in training from 21st June. Edit: beaten to it
-
Aye it's horrific patter. The emojis make it 100x worse as well.
-
Good stats from Frear considering he can't have played more than 15 or so games.

Some agent fella on twitter linking us with a guy called Jordan Owens from Crusaders in Ireland. 20 goals last season apparently. Likely bollocks but @eliteplayerrep is the account of anyone fancies a look.

Being in my mid 20's I don't really remember the likes of Tommy Coyne, Owen Coyle etc so Scott McDonald is undoubtedly one of the best strikers to have worn the shirt in my time watching Motherwell. He'll always be one of my favourite players and memories like helicopter Sunday will go down in Motherwell legend. As others have mentioned we probably have him to thank for retaining our top flight status on more than one occasion whilst he was here. A personal favourite of mine and although we knew he was leaving, I'm gutted to see him go. A moaning faced wee shite but a damn fine player for our club and our premier league top scorer to boot. Cheers for the memories Skippy and best of luck whatever the future holds.

I really hope Lionel stays. Unbelievably frustrating player but when he's on form he's the type of guy you pay your money to go and see. I hope we offer him some sort of incentive based contract. Basic wage of a squad player with performance related bonuses that will hopefully drag a few more playoff-esq performances out of him.

I don't think he's actually signed it yet. He was in the papers over the weekend saying that if Lee McCulloch didn't get the managers job he may reconsider signing it. Sounded like as soon as Mculloch is named as permanently manager, which will probably happen this week, Jones will sign the extension. Looks a cracking player though.

It's about £50k.

I expect he'll pitch up at Western Sydney Wanderers who have been chasing him the last couple of widows. Saying that, he does a fair bit of media work here so a year at the likes of Hibs along with his media work would likely see him pocket more cash than he would get staying at Fir Park. Fantastic servant to the club and one of my personal favourites.
-
Bbc Gossip page saying that McDonald has told Robinson he won't be taking up the option of a 1 year extension and he'll be off. No great surprise really.
-
There's also an interview in The Sun that someone posted to the Well Fans II page on FB with quotes saying he's looking to stay. He'd need to take a hefty wage cut but if he's open to it I'd love for him to stay. Edit : seems to be almost identical the the interview above.

I'm not sure how it would work with his media commitments but would Craigan stepping up to assistant manager and Las going in as head coach of the U20's be a possibility? Do Robinson and Craigan know each other from the NI set ups?
-
Flow wouldn't get half the stick he gets if he wasn't a well known face/name around the fan base prior to his appointment at the club and if he wasn't as active on social media. You can guarantee though he's trying his absolute best and has the best intentions of the club at heart. If we had a COO that had no previous connection with the club and didn't stick their head above the parapet I guarantee there wouldn't be anywhere near the same blame put on them as Alan Burrows gets.

I think he means Jordan Jones who has absolutely roasted us down the left. -

I'd be pretty disappointed with a sub 4k crowd tonight. I would have thought we would have seen a 3.5k crowd on a mid-season Tuesday night against the likes of Killie, but given the importance of the game combined with winning at the weekend and the free ticket offer it would be quite poor if we couldn't get at least another 500 hardy souls to come along. Edit : I agree with your initial point though, a £10 adult and free for under 16's initiative or something along those lines would have been preferable. -

I think some people queried this on Twitter and asked why the voucher was not enough. Seems it was a police decision who wanted a more solid idea on the likely attendance. Although I have my free ticket, I completely sympathise with those who couldn't take advantage. It was more luck than anything else that my ST holding mate could get to Fir Park last week to exchange his voucher. -

Any guesses what the attendance will be like tonight? I doubt Killie will bring many with them already being safe and not really having much to play for but I would hope we could get around 5,500 there tonight.
