Just had my regular update email from the society.
We're now up to 2,068 members and this week alone they've had over £2,000 of one-off donations following the announcement that Les will match funds raised this year. Numerous existing members upped their monthly pledges too.
I'm happy to admit that I'm normally a glass half full type of fan and I generally don't mind McGhee.. but that result tonight is completely and utterly unacceptable.
I haven't seen any of the game but we really have a team full of shitebags at the minute who seem fold like a pack of cards as soon as they face a bit of adversity. Next week is a write off in terms of result for me but if we don't see a marked improvement in performance and fight then I think it's time for McGhee to hand in his resignation and ask Craggs to take over till the end of the season. Someone with a bit of fight and professional pride.
You would hope so. As many fundraising initiatives as possible should be planned this year. A big push for local businesses to get involved should be prioritised too as a £5k-£10k donation from a few different local businesses could make a huge difference to the total come the end of the year.
Yeah you're right, monthly totals were between £10-12k any time I checked.
If we can use this offer from Les to up that to say £15k pcm / £180k per year, which Les will match, it could make a significant difference to the future of the club. I'll up my DD off the back of this as well.
That red is a shocking decision. Perfectly timed, hard but fair challenged. If that's a red then the games a bogey.
Jammy goal for them too. Lasley and Samson both unlucky.
I agree that Sowah is dodgy as fuck but from watching the hearts game the other night he's pretty athletic, quick and gets up and down the park.
Ainsworths pace would be slightly nullified against him and as we know his workrate is under question so pressing Sowah into mistakes and tracking his runs could be a problem. As much as I love Lionel I'd go for Cadden who will be willing run and press Sowah all day hopefully forcing mistakes, as well as track his forward runs.
