Allan Campbell starts. Samson, Tait, Heneghan, McManus, McMillan, clay, Lucas, McHugh, Campbell, moult, Mcdonald. I was under the impression Campbell was a central midfielder. Seems a very narrow midfield if that's the case.

Can't see a thread for the derby only a day before the game, so here goes. I expect a decent 'Well support to head across to Hamilton following the moral boosting win on Tuesday and we should be confident of picking up a win against a team who have only won 2 games all season, albeit they've had a load of draws. In terms of team selection I suspect Cadden will miss out and if so I wouldn't be surprised if we go 3 at the back with Tait and McMillan/Hammell at left wing back. I think Lasley is expected to return but I'd be tempted to keep the midfield the same as Wednesday assuming McHugh and Lucas' legs are up for it. Up front (and seemingly goalkeeper) pick themselves. I'm going to say it'll be a good end to 2016 for the Motherwell as a 3-1 win puts us 7 points clear of the playoff places.

Wasn't sure where to put this and didn't think it warranted a new thread but Craigan has had an absolute melt down on BT Sport tonight in a conversation about Ian Cathro. Chris Sutton doing his usual wind up routine. As much as I love Craggs, it was pretty funny.

It was mentioned that we retain 40% of transfer fees with the remainder being shared between Les and John Boyle, Les' share being larger that Boyle's.

I'd be pretty chuffed with a midfield including McHugh, Pearson and Cadden for the second half of the season. We're conceding a lot of goals at the minute which i think is largely due to us being over run in the middle. If we can sort that out I think we should be fine for the rest of the year because we're certainly dangerous going forward.

Unsurprisingly interest in Chris Cadden seems to be growing. Twitter rumours have Sunderland, Fulham, Derby and Rangers all after him.

To be fair, the Society have been pushing it for the last few weeks on various social media platforms and there was also a section detailing it in the 'Well Society Weekly Newsletter' email which was sent out on 30th November. Might be worth dropping them an email just to check your contact details are correct. You'll find the email address on the well society website. Appreciate that there needs to be further improvements but I think communication from the Society has improved markedly over the last 3 months or so.

I'm going to go along tonight. First one I'll have been to due to the timings of previous meetings and working in Edinburgh. I see an email was sent this morning detailing the new governance structure.

Not having that, he was trying to get us into a position to try and win the game. The bit of skill he was trying just didn't come off and I'll never bring down a player that tries to do that. The goal was more about the defence giving Rogic acres of space at the edge of the box to ping one in. So easy for people to blame Ainsworth constantly on here, the guys a hero when he makes it 3-2 but absolute villain when we lose, ridiculous

Agree, McManus was outstanding today. Particularly in the first half.

Weird feeling. Obviously I'm absolutely gutted and losing four second half goals is shite. But considering how close we ran them and how hard we battled against a vastly superior team it's hard to be harsh on the team.

Yeah there certainly seems to be something strange going on. I seem to remember some comments on one of the MFC Mixlr commentary suggesting we won't see him in a Motherwell shirt. Maybe he's secured a permanent move somewhere from West Ham in January and isn't played incase he picks up an injury and scuppers the move? Doesn't really explain why he's still here though.

Usually look forward to the cup draws but I've just got a feeling this year we'll get a really shite draw and be knocked out in this round. It'll be something like Hearts, Hibs or Aberdeen away. Fingers crossed for Forres Mechanics or Edinburgh City at home though!

Good news yesterday that we passed the 2,000 members milestone. I saw a tweet saying we've had over 100 new pledges since the transfer took place and more are coming in everyday. Looking back at the September board meeting summary we had 1,920 members and monthly income of £10-£11k. There doesn't appear to be an October update but based on the figures above we hopefully aren't too far off 2,050 members.
