As much as I like Tait, there's not a chance. Paterson, Anya, Bardsley and Hutton off the top of my head would be miles ahead of him and there's probably a lot more that I can't think of at 8am on a Monday morning.

Agree with you re the personal abuse and bullying but when every single thread is completely derailed by one poster it gets pretty frustrating and will turn people off. Take this topic for example - it could have lead to a decent debate on how people consume news about the club and football in general, and how this has changed over time. Instead it's turned into one poster lecturing others (in a pretty abrasive tone) with his knowledge on how steelmen online can be transformed into an all conquering football forum and others responding as you would likely expect. People can't be banned willy nilly for putting their views forward but there's a way to go about it that encourages debate and reasoned responses..I don't think we're seeing that here.

Fantastic piece of business by the club and Chrissy is fully deserving of his new contract. If he keeps progressing at the same rate we should be in for a more than decent fee in future. I'm sure it's been mentioned he's on the radar of a few championship clubs, Brighton being one.

Possibly not the correct place to put this seeing as he's still eligible for the U16's but I've been watching a bit of Scotland vs Wales in the victory shield while working from home this afternoon which is being streamed live on Facebook. 30 mins in and Jamie Semple has a double. The second a cracking left foot volley after one touch to kill a cross field ball. Haven't seen him before but read a bit about him and he seems a cracking prospect. Just a shame he's likely to be away down south before he gets near the first team.

I'm hopeful of a positive result up at Dens after our performance at the weekend. Surely got to stick with the same lineup of everyone is available. I watched Dundee against St J on BT a few weeks ago and they were abject. Nothing up front, with that Tijesse guy looking particularly guff (cue him getting a double on Saturday). If we can get control of the midfield I'm confident our forward players can get us the goals to bring back 3 points.

I believe the Society release a monthly update on membership via Twitter. The most recent one was included in the September board meeting summary when we had 1,920 members with 1,402 adults. August income was c. £10k. A tweet from earlier today says they have been inundated with messages and new membership requests so imagine we'll hear an update once they get through the new requests. Fully agree that they need to raise their game but small steps are being made with monthly updates and summaries of board meeting which as far as I'm aware weren't happening 6 months ago. Edit : there's actually a counter on the Society homepage. Unsure when it was last updated but it shows 1,930 members, with 1,410 of those adults. Edit 2 : recent tweet says 40 new pledges from the weekend have been processed and more still to do. Pretty encouraging stuff but needs to be built upon.

Thanks for the info above dennyc, interesting reading. Hopefully the future sales of Moult, Cadden and Heneghan (if everything goes to plan) will see us well on our way to paying off Boyle and Hutchisons debt. I, like many others, have become a bit disillusioned with the Society in the past due to the apparent lack of direction and communication issues, but having finally sealed the deal and seeing fans from all clubs all over the UK tweeting us their best wishes it has made me feel quite proud to be part of it. It's clear there is a passion for fan ownership across the country and we should be proud that we're the first top level club in the UK to achieve it. Hopefully going forward there can be a renewed campaign to drive sign ups and we can really sieze this opportunity as, like others have said, it really is the only way forward for clubs like Motherwell.

Our next 3 games are ICT and County at home followed by Dundee away. Feel they are quite important in giving us a bit of a platform going into the busy Christmas period as a decent haul of 6-9 points should have us in a decent mid table position whereas 3 losses and we could be close to the bottom for the 7-odd games we have in December. Looking ahead to Wednesday, I fancy us to take something from the game. Mcmillan and McLean showed they can play their part and our front line should hopefully be enough to cause ICT some problems. Barring another Samson flap I can see us winning this one 2-0. Mcdonald and Cadden to score.

Craig Clay for me. Pretty tidy in midfield, a few nice turns and didn't waste too many balls. Thought he seemed to have a bit more gas than previously too and got stuck in well for the 90 mins.

A pretty dire game of football and I'm relatively content with a point considering how we played for the first 60mins. A bit of an odd game in that, like others have said, if Thistle's striker could finish they would have been out of sight but equally it took an absolute howler from Hammell for them to get on the scoresheet, and in the end we perhaps could have snatched all 3 but for a couple of decent saves. Thought the defence struggled as a whole today particularly against Thistle's pace and was really impressed with Partick's #19 in midfield. Lasley and Cadden gave 100% and Ainsworth and McFadden both had an impact when they came on. I'm still not convinced of Tait in a defensive sense but it was a cracker of a left foot cross for the goal and there's no doubt he's effective going forward. Anyone have any idea how many assists he's on now? I would guess 4 or 5 maybe?

Abdul Osman will be suspended after being sent off yesterday which will be a blow for them. They've not had a great start to the season but our last few performances at Firhill have been abysmal, then again we've got Louis Moult so 3-0 Motherwell. Moult x2 and Bowman with the other.

Does anyone know if half-season tickets are still a thing or if we are still doing the flexi tickets? I'm moving back to the Lanarkshire area soon but have missed the boat to make a full season ticket worthwhile. Wondering whether either of the above is an option or if I'll be PATG for the rest of this season. Cheers.
