  1. Assuming a win for us, I would take draws in all of the other games today. Accies take the lead just as I type.
  2. A win in this game today would likely see the bottom half of the table bunch up significantly. We also have a game in hand over Dundee Utd and Killie and only be a few points of the top half. The busy Christmas period will go some way to shaping our season I feel.
  3. Interesting...Hall in at CB with Kennedy dropped and no Laing in the squad. Also Mackin and Watt on the bench.
  4. Whilst we're talking about keepers - I've noticed the last few weeks that Twardzik hasn't even been getting a look in for the U20's. I assume if we can keep Ripley past Jan then Dan will likely be off if someone wants him?
  5. Looking forward to this. Think we can win it 2-0 with goals from McDonald and Ainsworth. Yogi also won't be on the dug out, the SFA have landed him with a touch line ban.
  6. Saw him at a game against St Mirren last season in the middle of December with shorts and T-shirt on
  7. Most of the best game I've attended have been mentioned but one which I don't think has was Motherwell 3-1 Celtic towards the end of the 2012/2013 season, and I think the win guaranteed us Europe(?). We went 1-0 down from a Hooper goal from a rebound but after that we tore Celtic to shreds and the destruction on the counter attacked and dominance we showed all night was amazing. Goals from Ojamaa, a Higdon pen and an OG I think sealed the win, but Humphrey tormented Izzagueire (sp?) all night, Higdon bossed it up top and Ojamaa was on fire. We could have honestly won that game 6/7-1 without a doubt! Great game.
  8. What was with the yellow tape and the tennis balls on the pitch?
  9. Exactly the appointment we needed! An experienced head who knows the place, knows the league and a number of the current players and staff. Steady the ship and over the 18months of his contract whilst tutoring Craggs (who I assume will be no2?) to take over when he leaves. Don't understand some of the apoplectic rage from some on here. He had us playing the best football I've witnessed at Fir Park, led us through some terrible times off the pitch and immeasurably improved some absolute no hopers from the season before.
  10. Haha. I remember Frankie Boyle using that one on mock the week talking about Prescott (I think), couldn't control myself.
  11. @vatavision: Putting a couple of managers' CVs in to Motherwell, including a popular former player. Heard there's been 30 applications so far! The above is from some Scottish based football agency.

    Well Bois

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think Something Else referred to refugees as 'shite'. I took his 'shite like that' to mean political messages at football matches rather than being directed at any particular issue or group. Maybe I'm wrong and if so it was a poor choice of words. Anyways, each to their own.

Yeah, I agree. Good intentions and all that but politics/current affairs should be kept separate from football.
  14. Where's the chat on the two Dutch boys coming from?
  15. I'd go with the same team. Options on the bench to change it up too if required with Johnson, Robinson, possibly Fletcher.
  16. I'll start to worry if we don't pick up some points here. Killie have conceded at least 2 goals in 13 of their last 14 league games so at least losing 2-1 again doesn't seem very likely. I'll say 3-1 Motherwell. Moult, Mcdonald x2.
  17. Does this constitute a 'cup run' for us now?... I think it does.
  18. Scott Mullen ‏@scottmullen87 1m1 minute ago McDonald drives at goal, shoots, hits centre-half in the haw maws, comes back to him and with the keeper on deck he slots away rebound.
  19. Scott Mullen ‏@scottmullen87 19s 20 seconds ago McDonald blazes over the bar from under 10 yards. Moult breaks clear, squared to unmarked Aussie and he makes a Noel Hunt of it. Haha, glad he's providing updates. Seems the club twitter has given up.
  20. Scott Mullen ‏@scottmullen87 53s53 seconds ago What a save from Ripley to deny Wilkie. Louis Laing is having a mare tonight. EF should have this in the bag. Corner EF is just cleared
  21. Saturday could be a a straight shoot out to see who gets the sack out of Locke or Baraclough. I've actually been on his side since he took over but I'm not really beginning to sway. Defeat tonight and on Saturday and I think that would be my tipping point!
  22. Oh dear, oh dear. Would this be worse than Albion Rovers?
