Yea I had a look at the odds this morning. Motherwell 8/11 and Killie were 7/2 on Bet 365. Very long odds for Killie, think it will be much tighter than the bookies think.

What Spanish team do you follow Alberto?

I thought Ramsden was absolutely fantastic today! He won just about everything and was doing the job of two men for most of the second half when Faddy wasn't tracking back, before Kerr came on. Special mention for Carswell too who was excellent in midfield and it was certainly no coincidence the midfield went to shite when he had to get subbed off ...he is a perfect replacement for Las when the old yins legs start to get a bit tired later in the season. Anier doesn't half do some amount of running as well. A lot more positive from the whole team today, especially in the first half. Onwards and upwards.

For me, we need someone who is going to be able to pick the ball up and drive with it. Lawson, Vigurs and Lasley are all good players and passers of the ball but none are very capable at getting the ball in midfield and driving at the opposition. McFadden is ofcourse capable of this but has been off the boil so far. Last season we had Humph, Law and Ojamaa who did this all the time..how many times do you hear defenders saying they hate people running at them.

Would be quite happy with a point if offered it right now die to our travels during the week. I haven't seen any highlights but by all accounts Aberdeen were quite impressive against Killie on Saturday! Ill say 2-2 but got a horrible feeling we they might get one over on us for the first time in the league since .. 2008? 2009?

I also completely agree with Sieb. Humphrey, for all his faults, is a player you could never accuse of not working hard or tracking back. I don't think Hateley would have been half as consistent if it wasn't for Humphrey. No idea of actual figures but it wouldn't surprise me if Humphrey covered the most ground out of every player in the majority of games he played in.

McManus for me. Mention for ZFA and Anier who upped the tempo and gave us something a bit different for those last 20 mins, credit to McCall for making the changes too.
-
Interesting stats, i just feel with those two players we could have carved out more 'clear cut' opportunities, rather than Vigurs sending 25 yard dribblers into their keepers arms. The one time we did get to the byline and get a ball in we hit the post. For me Kuban weren't on the same level as Pana or Levante and with a bit more directness and tenacity we could have had more chances. Pretty irrelevant anyways seeing as they're both away. But anyway, Hibs are pish and we should beat them on Sunday.

Ahh maybe that's where I'm getting that figure from. I definitely remember Paterson leaving for something along the lines of £250k and us getting Hammell back and making a decent profit. A fine piece of business. Cheers stepover! Edit : old BBC article I just found says £250k for Paterson when he went to Plymouth.

Whilst last nights result was disappointing, when looked at in terms of the SPFL or whatever it's called now, it leaves me in doubt we'll be absolutely fine for a top 6 finish this season. The only frustration for me last night was that we had plenty of possession but never looked like doing much with it, credit to the Russians though they were tight as a ducks arse when we had the ball. Just get the feeling if we had Humphrey and Ojamaa in the squad last night it could have been a different story, going forward at least. Players who create a bit of space and bring lots of energy.. I felt our play was just a little pedestrian last night. Not too despondent because I didn't expect much and still looking forward to the season to come. I feel a cup run coming on, although that could be the delayed flight airport beers talking!

Yea I think you're right. Was it not a fair amount (for us anyway?) about £180k or something?
-
McManus for me. Handled their big striker well in the air and never looked flustered at the back. Mention for Lawson aswell who I thought did well.

Went for 2 tickets for the East today and could only get one in the row in front of the other as there's only really single seats left there now. The girl at the ticket office said she would put the number at about 5500 - 6000 just now but they were expecting a rush tomorrow because they are selling right up until kick off. She also mentioned the club had set a target of 6000.
-
Yea that's what I did today, nice and easy! Although maybe get on the phone early, I went to collect mine 4 hours after I called and gave my card details and it hadn't been processed by the time I got there. The girl also said they expect it to be busy tomorrow.

I like the look of that line up and McFadden and Vigurs definitely have the quality to find little pockets of space and get on the ball in the area between the Russians defence and midfield, however I don't know if Sutton is be the right kind of striker to play in that formation with those players. There is still very little width or pace to get balls into the box in the kind of areas where Sutton would be more effective. For me, Anier or McHugh who will play on the shoulder of the last defender and make runs in behind for Faddy and Vigurs to pick out could be more useful. Just realised as I type this that we have James McFadden in our team for a bloody European game....we're gonna go through nae bother!

Phoned and bought my ticket about 4pm this afternoon. Managed to get 2 for the east stand but was told there only single seats left in the 'south stand half' and a couple of '3-4 seats clusters' in the Cooper half of the east. So east stand is virtually sold out, POD apart from the wee side seats will be pretty full and the cooper will be, what, 3/4 full. What does that put us at, 7000-7500?
-
Yea, they knocked out Hamburg in the semi final thanks to the paper ball. A defender tried to pass the ball back to the keeper but the ball bobbled up over the paper ball just as it got to him and it bounced out for a corner which Werder scored from haha.

I don't really care about Nicky Law now, good player who has made a daft decision. Only thing that kind of annoys me is when he was with us he only seemed interested in Man Utd when on twitter etc, now that he's moved to The Rangers he can't seem to stop tweeting about how much he's 'buzzing' for this season and playing for them. Never seemed that interested when he was with us?! Edit: Reading that back it sounds quite petty from me. Not intended to be, just merely an observation.

I'm yet to see us score a goal in Europe! Ive not been able to make all the european games due to work but I've made Nancy, Llanelli, Odense, Pana and Levante all at home where there's not been a sniff of a goal! Hoping this Thursday changes my horrible home European record!
-
Really like the Watford top. Would definitely have bought that. Our one looks like something you pick up for a tenner out of sports direct, that just happens to have our badge and sponsor on it...nothing 'Motherwell' about it whatsoever.
-
Would love to sign McManus, it would be a real coup for us. I saw him outside a restaurant in Bothwell tonight actually. Take it he's from around this area and that's why we're in with a shout of getting him if he's looking for a move back up the road?
-
Odds on Higgy to bang in a goal at the Amsterdam Arena?!
-
I see Faddy is on the plane to Spain. Make of that what you will. Edit : Ahh shite, beaten to it.
-
He also says Faddy is considering deals from the MLS and the championship but Motherwell still remain an option. Can't see him staying if he has those offers...they would dwarf and wages that we could offer. Decision might be made this week.

Fraser Kerr signed on a 2 year deal according to Scott Burns on Twitter He also says Neilsen is signing a 2 year deal this week and McManus is being looked at by us and Hibs in SPL and Barnsley and Ipswich down south.
