  1. Another great press conference from Robinson. I also saw that the Well society tweeted this morning that we had sold over 6,000 tickets so far and how good it would be if every one signed up to £5 per month subscription. That tweet now seems to have been deleted but it seems the chat of 9,000 tickets being shifted was a bit premature.
  2. 1-0 win for the U20's. Agyeman scores with the last kick of the game.
  3. The part about us not taking up our allocation was mentioned in a wee piece by Talking Baws but no quotes or anything in there so you could be right. Fingers crossed for 10k then!
  4. Just saw on twitter that Rangers have been given an increased allocation of 38,000 tickets after it looks like we won't be taking our full 10k allocation. No surprise really that we won't have 10k there so it looks like it'll be 38,000 of them, maybe 7,000 of us and 5-7k of segregation and hospitality etc.
  5. It was very much tongue in cheek mate haha. I actually predicted a 3-1 win earlier in the thread! I'll be there to cheer us on, on the train through from Edinburgh as we speak. Mon the 'Well!
  6. New contract for the manager ✅ New contract for Campbell ✅ Good run of form ✅ Accies injury crisis ✅ Accies bank account plundered ✅ ...This has 1-0 Accies written all over it!
  7. By no means did I mean it would be easy next week, and I agree that they have some very decent players in their squad but having nothing to fear and expecting to win are completely different things. I'm going into the game with hope more than expectation but if we play like we have been recently we'll certainly give Rangers a game. As said above, St Johnstone without playing anywhere near as well as they can forced 14/15 corners last night and numerous free kicks in good positions, as well as a few good chances from open play but lacked a final ball. If we're on the ball next week it'll be a good contest.
  8. Also watching and thinking exactly the same. Saints have been poor at taking advantage of their numerous set pieces. Another take away from this game so far is that we have absolutely NOTHING to fear from this mob next week.
  9. Yea £750k reported by the guys on BT. Pretty serious stuff, there aren't many SPFL clubs that could lose that sum and not end up in a bit of financial bother.
  10. There ye are! Robbo extends to 2020! What a day it's been so far!
  11. Can't remember which paper it was but I read an article on Twitter earlier with quotes from Canning confirming they have 6 players out who would otherwise be in the starting 11 including their keeper, Sarris, Templeton and Crawford. Crawford has done his knee and is out for a good few weeks.
  12. Thats a fantastic amount raised via the bucket collection. Well done to all
  13. Apparently he and Christie were having a go at each other. Probably a bit of overspill from Christies horrendous tackle the other night.
  14. How much better is Peter Hartley than Ben Heneghan, by the way?
  15. Great first half for us! Winning every second ball and out battling Aberdeen all over the pitch, we're not losing one individual battle. BT commentators saying 'the ball just isn't dropping for aberdeen', but you make your own luck and for me it's our energy and endeavour that's making sure the ball doesn't bounce for them. No way this is over though. Aberdeen cannot be as bad in the second half and Rooney will score his usual penalty against us I'm sure. We look dangerous going forward though and set pieces are causing Aberdeen issues.
  16. As above..I'd get there quite early and try to park around the Albion road area. Not sure how it'll be now with their bigger crowds though.
  17. Looking forward to this one. I live about a 10 minute walk from Easter Road so this is my home game. As others have said, this game should provide a good indication of where we're at and really test just how good some of our new guys are as they come up against some of the better players in the league - Kipre vs Stokes, Bigi/Rose vs Mcginn etc. My mindset going into this game could not be more different than to a comparable game last year. You know that with this team you are guaranteed effort and endeavour which was not the case with every game last year and whilst that doesn't count for everything you can be sure there won't be any 1-5 Dundee or 6-0 (was it?) Hearts performances. Hibs will know they've been in a game. Overall I would be satisfied with a draw but if Accies can go there and win there's no reason why we can't do the same. Being cautious I'll predict an entertaining 2-2. Moult and Bowman for us, Stokes and Boyle for them.
  18. Great stuff - glad he is on the radar of the U21 manager.
  19. Alan Campbell was absolutely outstanding yesterday. Won every tackle, every second ball, and out-jumped guys half a foot taller than him to win headers. Even more impressively, given his style of play, I can't remember him giving away a foul all game. A fantastic talent who should be getting Scotland under 21 recognition in the near future if he keeps playing like that. Mentions to Bowman and Kipre as well who both were very impressive.
  20. A few more performances like yesterday and surely we can be discussing Alan Campbell in this thread too. Absolutely outstanding yesterday.
  21. I'm looking forward to this. My first game at Fir Park this season after only being able to make away games so far. Hopefully we have a fully fit squad to choose from with Tanner and Bigi back at full fitness and Cadds feeling okay after Scotland U21 duty on Tuesday. I quite admire what McCulloch is doing at Killie in giving lots of young Scottish lads like Taylor, Kiltie, Frizzell and Wilson decent game time. I think our physicality might be a bit too much for Killie though - we must be one of the tallest/powerful teams in the league now with the likes of Cedric, Dunne, Bowman, Hartley. Even McHugh and Grimshaw who aren't the tallest are physical players. Add to that the footballing ability of Bigi, Cadds, Frear and Moult and I think we'll be on to a good thing this weekend. 3-1 Motherwell. Moult, Bowman and Cadden.
  22. This is a great idea to boost the coffers. Well done to those involved. I think I'll have a wee go at Skippy's jersey.
  23. Was there not a bit of chat about a bucket collection at upcoming home games for people to chuck a few quid into? Not much help if you don't go to games I guess but I'm sure the club would take any form of donation. It's a good idea though. We have 9 home games before the end of the season, if 2,000 home punters put in £1 each that would be £36,000 once Les doubles it! I think that's around 25% of the annual We'll Society income so not an insignificant sum.
