Thats more than I thought we owes, particularly to Les. But that circa £1.9m should now be around £1.3m if we took in £1m during he window with 40% going to Les and 20% going to Boyle. Hopefully a couple of decent cup runs this year would mean we could afford to pay off Boyle's outstanding amount with cup prize money, which would allow us to keep more transfer % from future sales of Moult/Cadden/Kipre.

A great listen and some really interesting insight. Well done lads.

Good message from the chairman. The feeling around the club at the moment is really positive - the manager speaks well, we've refreshed and rebuild the squad and while it's early days the signs seem positive. Most importantly the business plan is beginning to bear fruit and we've brought in a fair bit of cash. Positive enough for me that I emailed to increase my monthly pledge to the Society this morning. Onwards and upwards!

Thankfully we hold all the cards when it comes to Oxford bidding for Cadden; we know they're just about come into a wedge of cash, we don't need to sell because of the Marv sell on, he has a couple of years left on his contract and our worst case scenario is £600k as a development fee. Not to mention he's a key player and a huge part of how we play. Offers in excess of £1m plus adds on's before we even pick up the phone.

I mentioned it in the Hearts thread too. There were 3 or 4 different line ups suggested, all which had their merits. There can't have been many squads in the last few years where we aren't significantly weakened when we have 3 or 4 players missing. Even the teams that finished 2nd/3rd there was very little behind the first 12-13 players, although I appreciate the starting 11 back then was stronger. We now have a squad of 17-18 players who can all be relied upon.

That game against Dundee was possibly one of the most boring, awful games I've ever been to. Tony Strakers performance that day was quite a sight to behold.

He must be able to play in the middle too. With Tait, McMillan and Cadden all capable of playing RB/RWB I don't see why we would need another unless the injury Tait has been playing through is much worse than feared. Saw an interview during the week where he said he's struggling with a pelvic injury, has had 2 operations but it's still causing problems and he's been using painkillers to get through games. We desperately need another CB as if any of our 3 starters can't play the only other option at the moment is McHugh.

Scottish Premiership Game 4: Hearts (H) Saturday 26/08/17
Dezz replied to Yabba's Turd's topic in Club Chat
This whole squad depth thing is a novelty eh? First time in a long time there has been some serious debate over who should be starting in a number of positions. It's not often you read 3 or 4 different starting line ups on here, all of which have their merits. -
Aye those guys that tweet him constantly asking him to follow them on twitter and trying to get him out for a pint are tragic.
-
Celtic 2-0 up in their Champions League qualifier. I saw on twitter earlier every club in the Premiership will get £250k in UEFA solidarity payments if they get to the group stage which might help swell the coffers a little bit. Edit : Finished 5-0 so just about guaranteed a bit of extra cash.
-
Flow tweeted the other day too to say that he knows big Cedric is loving it here. Get him signed up!
-
Stevie May signs for Aberdeen (great signing for them) but that should kill off any further bids for Louis Moult from the Dons.
-
Does anyone know what our sell on percentage is? I think when we sold him the quote was something along the lines of 'substantial add on's that protect the club in the future'. Hopefully it's at least 20% and we can get a decent 6-figure fee in.
-
Sky sport reporting that Hull City have made a bid for Marvin Johnson. Wonder if they're looking at him to replace Andy Robertson as a left back if that's where he's been playing for Oxford. Anyways, get the deal done and give us our sell on

Can only go by the highlights but it looked as blantant a penalty as you'll see. The County player was going to knock in the rebound from Carsons save before Dunne barged him in the back. The only question is whether Dunne could have been judged to have made an attempt to play the ball and with the new rules it would have been a penalty and a yellow. For me it looked like he took one for the team and penalty and red was probably the correct decision.

I think it was a few shy of 10k. Not quite 12k, but must be one of the highest attendances at Fir Park for a good while.
-
Looking forward to seeing the save on the highlights. Lewis on the mixlr commentary was basically lost for words..in amongst the incomprehensible spluttering of amazement was something along the lines of 'Carson....unbelievable....Wow!'.

Iain, apologies for the delay in sending. £10 sent via PayPal this morning. Cheers

‘Spectators’ Short Animation About Motherwell Fans
Dezz replied to underboyleheating's topic in Club Chat
Not sure if he has done anything with the club in the past but he did some animation work for Hibs following their cup final win last year, creating an animation of the winning goal - I'll see if I can find it and post it up. Edit : short wee video of Keith https://vimeo.com/144851763/recommended Can't find the cup final one but here's another short video he did for Hibs; https://twitter.com/mrrosshogg/status/789923681568976897 -

Ross is a mate of mine from school. He's a talented guy and won a Scottish BAFTA last year for his animation work. -
County got a decent result at Dens at the weekend but I'm reasonably optimistic about this one. First 15 mins aside we went toe to toe with Rangers who despite being pretty average for a Rangers team have spent £10m this summer and will no doubt be top 4 this season - this was also without Bigi, and Moult and McHugh having absolute stinkers - arguably our 3 best players. I'd like to see us go to a straight 4-4-2 and possibly start Fisher instead of Moult up front if 2 games in 3 days is too much for him returning from injury. I thought Fisher looked good when he came on and was unlucky not to score. Hopefully Tanner can find some pockets of space to play in as Andrew Davis will have a field day if we continually shell crosses into the box. 2-1 'Well. Cadden, and Fisher with the winner.

I'll give you that. 3 times I've seen rose now am I have no idea what he offers or what his strengths and weakness are. Physically he should be in be in the Pearson mould but seen nothing of that yet.
