Haven't trailed back through all the pages but should we be looking at Higdon for next season with his contract up at St Mirren? For me he has good ability if he can be kept fit.

Ideal scenario would be having top 6 place sorted this weekend and then maybe get some contracts sorted next week to give us extra boost going into semi!

I think given time his sharpness in front of goal could come. For me he deserved to stay on the park ahead of Murphy last night. He looked to get into space and into the right position where as too many times Murphy seemed to hide behind a defender. Think Gloria needs to be given time and face it what other choice do we have!

I think for me the concern is around the make up of our squad. We lack experience and/or decent quality in too many areas and that experience will be needed if we are involved in a fight for top 6 or worst case fight against relegation and we have one weekend left to bring in some face(s) that build on what we have or that's it for this season. Picture the scene if we don't bring anyone in and then lose our next couple of SPL games and pick up a few injuries/suspensions meaning we need to change 2 defenders 2 midfielders and 1 forward from last weeks line up. If Hutch, Hammell, Jennings, Las & Murph were out even short teram we would suddenly look very exposed.

Seen Stewart linked with Accies earlier this week - while guy has some ability rumour is that he destroys dressing rooms and is a total d**k - don't think this would be a move in the right direction

Just seen on the League 2 news tab on SSN that - Rotherham midfielder Nicky Law is considering a contract offer from Motherwell. He is a 22 year old midfielder and is out of contract in the summer so could be a move for the summer window. Seems to stack up as previously played under SMC at Bradford.

I'm sure with a bit of thought (not likley in the SPL I know) we could come up with a way to ensure Season Ticket holders feel incentivised to purchase ST's. I'm sure Hearts did the early ticket thing a while back and not sure what impact it had. I think MFC need to look at the product that they offer and take reponsibility, so while the SPL as a whole has an impact on the footie side MFC provides a product in terms of what the fan gets in and around the ground on matchday and our matchday experience must be amongst the worst in the SPL. Radical changes need to be driven by the board to get the fans back on side!

Tend to agree as they have also added a striker since then. Our strength of the last few seasons is a solid 11 that doesn't change often with probably 2 options on the bench. You look at the 11 that started last night and very few will think it's a strong enough starting line up plus we had no options on the bench. I would say 1 more departure and we are in real danger. Our season could be decided in the next 2 to 3 weeks. We need to get back on track in the league with a tough run of games. We then have a chance of a final and then we face a banana skin in the cup .... just not convinced the current 11 never mind squad will get us through this!

When he came on against Stevenage at the weekend I recall the commentatot saying he was a RB who had been converted to a striker with a huge future so potentially another Juke or Blackman?

Just read some of McCalls comments in the Sun after the Dee game... very interested to read that we have been close on a few players only for someone to come in with a few quid. This at least sounds positive as he is working on deals I don't mind being gazumped cause if the players sole motivation is cash then Fir Park is not the place for him. We are only a third way through the window and could see much more movement in and out over the next 20 days! How many would be willing to see Murphy cashed in if it meant development of the squad? On another point does anyone know the cut-off for new players to be eligible for semi with Rangers?
