TICKETS CLAIMED I'm quite gutted, I was going to take my daughter to her first 'Well game today but she has been struck down with a virus that's doing the rounds so sadly we will need to wait until another fixture in the near future to go. So I have 4 tickets for the Davie Cooper stand if anyone would like them for free. First person to respond is welcome to them, I would just need your email address to fire over the document but I'm heading out at 1pm so that's the cut off for claiming them. I'd hate to see them going to waste, hopefully a great day out awaits.

I didn't realise that he had missed so many games over the years, I thought his injury worries were from recent years. Saying that I'm sure Ryan Jack was vocal about Kipre trying to wreck his career or something. He said in an interview recently that he was training on his lonesome at Dalziel Park, you can't help but feel he will likely fold like origami if we signed him.

I seem to remember John Boyle at an AGM had based the cost of any new stadium on that blueprint. The seating in the POD was supposed to be upgraded a few summers ago, I assume these plans were shelved due to the unforeseen work over on the Hunter Stand.

I think it's houses on the land now.

Just a random mention that I thought was quite cool. I was at the Meet the Manager event the other week, and while I was helping put things back at the end of the night, I was shown a few interesting things. It's well known the stand was built upon when we sold Quinn and St. John, but next to the home players' dressing room there is a cupboard, and when you peel away at some of the panels, you see plenty of the old corrugated metal and brickwork from the old stand. I know I'm probably answering this myself; I know it would have been more costly, but I wonder why they just didn't reduce the old stand to rubble and build the new one from scratch to future-proof it in a way. Quite a few main stands in our league must be a fair age; I don't think Dundee's has changed much; half of Dundee United's was built the same year as ours with Aberdeen's, Killie's, and Old Firm just going through renovations at various points. I wonder how things would have looked for UK stadiums if Hillsborough never happened and the Taylor report hadn't been introduced. I know it has been mentioned previously in the thread but Brian spoke about moving out of Fir Park soon as being very unlikely I was however surprised to see St. Mirren got £15 million for Love St, then subsequently spent around £8 million to build the current stadium just a short jaunt up the road.

I would agree with that, I have no issues with Blaney as he has always seemed a decent enough defender. Lamie enjoyed that wee purple patch which I think papers over some of his horror shows. At times Mugabi would look excellent after a run of games dominating in the air and so forth but he always had that massive error in his locker which we paid for numerous times. The injuries are actually depressing, we won't see Slattery and Paton until Christmas (if we're lucky). In recent times we have lost the likes of Carroll, Hartley, Fox, and Tanner to horrible injuries in training. With Hammell as manager, you can accept the likes of Aarons and Moult given their respective histories but Mandron lasted a couple of games before he was out for months. I didn't think we could top last season with injuries.

Yeah he was pitched in for his debut after Paul Shane managed to get "injured" in a warm up on the opening game of the 2009/10 season vs St Johnstone and for the next three seasons he never missed a game. Scored a few fantastic free kicks against Rangers and Odense.

Obika is not mentioned on the list and we offered Calum Butcher a new contract but it was declined.

It would be nice if we could have a glamour tie of some sort set up at Fir Park, it seems like it's been a while as we have been doing pitch works each season for a while. We only announced the two Dutch friendlies last year and I think we may have played Falkirk at Dalziel Park upon our return before heading into the League Cup group stage.

Thanks for sharing. I made a YouTube channel with a ton of old videos mostly highlights of different game. I have lots more to get converted but it takes forever. https://www.youtube.com/@motherwellnet/videos

Pape Souare is confirmed to be out injured for 4 months, I wonder if we will see him play for us again. In the past with the likes of Dunne, Tanner, and co, we have generally been nice at offering deals to see them back to full fitness but I think Carroll was only offered training facilities.

Thoroughly enjoyed that especially after his 'built upon fighting until the very end' comments on Saturday.

Thoroughly enjoyed all these injury-time goals we have scored against Killie lately, there seemed to be a phase where Kris Boyd was either scoring a late winner or equaliser. I'm looking forward to seeing how Spencer develops, he ended up in the opposition box numerous times with some great chances, he is fairly rapid and perhaps should have been away when he was put through one-on-one. Well done to both Casey and Paton for the goals, loved the composure to let the Killie defenders slide to try and block the feint before launching the ball home.

New signing Brodie Spencer.
