Well that was as poor as it gets I'm afraid. Lets just hope any future additions and the players currently out of action can help us push forward. Onwards to Saturday now, I can see another hard slog in that tie.
It's the old doubled edged sword, with the shorter contracts we have been able to move players on that have not been setting the heather on fire but at the same time the ones who you would love to keep move on without a curdy of compensation. It seems other clubs esph down south know about our diamonds in the youth system and they're even moving on before they get into our first team.
We have had a different approach this season as Kelly, Shields and Woolery are all on three year deals hopefully this gives us a chance to start building some more consistency within the squad but in saying that if any generous offers came in, if they perform well then they will be off.
I'm hopeful that any signings going forward would be players expected to start, it seems to have been a slow process this year as Robinson always seemed to have most of his business wrapped up prompt.
That was me that was next to you lol. I had arrived at 2 and went in early as I assumed it might have been more of a hassle getting in and seated. The Stewards were good initially helping fans find their seats but as it got busier they just left everyone be, I noticed a few folk bumping into friends decided to just sit together.
Obviously quite surprised my seat was right next to others, I thought I might have missed out on the ballot as I only wanted one seat.
I thought we were passing the ball around nicely, a lot more fluent than Wednesday night. QOTS were happy to sit back and soak it all up, we were warned on a few occasions we they hit on the break.
Watt was unlucky with his chance, need to get a goal back early doors but has that feeling we could play all night without hitting the back of the net.
For those who can't attend today I'm happy to report the new sound system is nice and crisp. No longer will your heart drop to your sphincter as that car back fire sound hits you.
Nice to be back, hopefully a great performance with the fans being back.
Got a ticket for the South Stand, last time I sat in there Kai Nyyssonen struck home a winner. Its amazing how much life has changed since we all walked out of that County game in March 2020.
Glad to get the win but it was a poor showing, I always thought we would have had to grind out a result with that midfield tonight. Thought we finished strongly but I think this was helped with Queens taking Murray off. We still have 4 or 5 new bodies to add plus the numerous players who were missing tonight, I'll worry then if nothing clicks.
Only three short days until we get to step our feet back into Fir Park again.
