Great chance for Campbell.
-
That was a point Alexander made about his first game in charge against St Mirren, every challenge they were screaming murder both on the pitch and from the management team on the sidelines.

YASS 1-0
-
HT 0-0, big change needed for the second half.
-
Pen as per to St Midden. Save by Kelly thankfully.

Killie 1 - 1 Ross County Hamilton 0 - 1 Dundee Utd

Killie 1 -0 Ross County

He was getting assessed before the match to see if he was fit to play, so I'm assuming he'll be back for the next game seeing he just missed out today.

Todays team, good to see Dunne back. Kelly, O'Donnell, Gallagher, Lamie, McGinley, Crawford, Campbell, Lawless, Roberts, Cole, Long. Subs: Chapman, Dunne, Mugabi, Carroll, Cornelius, Foley, Maguire, O'Hara, Hastie.

I might be well off the mark but their is a thread from January 2019 called 'retro kits' which have plenty posts and links about lots of our kits within that time frame.
-
I'm assuming the other poster thinks he's on loan from St Mirren. He is available for selection.

Goal finallly. Long

Look on the bright side, least we are still in the cup in April, a rare feat these days.

https://www.facebook.com/FormartineUnitedFC1948/posts/1121809098260957 I noticed Formartine United were selling a programme for tomorrows game it was advertised via their Facebook page. Just thought it would be of interest to some folk. Quite gutted to be missing this fixture, missed out on the rare jolly over a decade ago to Inverurie due to adverse weather. I wouldn't be surprised to see both Mugabi and Gallagher back in at the back with pretty much the rest of the side unchanged. It would also be nice to see a few of the injured players make a return or an actual appearance.

2002/03 Kits I tried to upload this image onto here but the file size was too large so its a link to SNS images I have enclosed. This was the image of the kit that I could remember, it was used to promote The Untouchables as the new main sponsor. I couldn't remember if we ever used this shirt, I had a look through SNS images from that season but I couldn't find any evidence of using it sadly, it seems that white training top posted earlier in the thread was preferred as this was used in the League Cup against East Fife, against Aberdeen at Pittodrie and versus Thistle.
-
Sorry for the confusion folks. This was the kit I was meaning, we used this many times in the 2000/01 season (Motorola version) but it was brought back as an alternative at the beginning of the 2002/03 with The Untouchables logo on it. I wasn't sure if we actually used this version as we opted to wear a white training top against Thistle.
-
I remember when the 2002/03 kits were revealed they were sponsor free and looked cracking. When The Untouchables were announced as the new sponsors at the photoshoot the 2000/01 white away kit was modeled alongside the new claret and amber reverse kits with the new sponsor logo added. I remember the side wearing the white training kit with black stripe a couple of times versus Partick Thistle but does anyone remember seeing the 2000/01 reappear in an actual game? I will post an image of the kit as I have one somewhere.

I would love to see Campbell stay at Fir Park but I think we all know he will be away in a few months. We have benefitted with a few contract extensions, I'm sure he will have a number of suitors. I would keep the 2019/20 Polworth but this seasons version can jog on. Somethings not been right, I know it's mentioned his family are based in the Highlands, I wonder if covid restrictions have made it hard to settle on that front. The guy didn't do himself any favours against Aberdeen and I think he's only played once since then. Probably unfairly but I voted to let Crawford go. I don't think the guys done to much wrong tbh, he is a neat and tidy footballer and would probably be a decent squad player but I think we need better quality in the middle of the park.

I pretty much agree with this although tbf to Mugabi he has had his moments he enjoyed a nice run of form earlier in the season coming onto a game before the first injury struck, I will remember his salmon leap goal fondly against Ross County. As for the other two it's pretty clear Gallagher is off, rumour has it Aberdeen are interested but I'm sure he'll have other suitors. O’Donnell left Killie to pursue a better move but something seemed to scupper his plans, I would retain but I think he will be away to pastures new.

I really liked Charles and by all accounts he is a great guy but if you cast your mind back to when he joined the club he had his injury issues before arriving, the club went to the extent to announce his signing in principle but only if he could prove he was fit during pre season I think it took about three or four weeks before he actually signed on the dotted line. Apart from the 17/18 season he has sadly struggled with various injuries, the club has done the right thing by retaining him and helping him get back to fitness while other clubs in the league have previous for releasing players in a similar situation. It's nice to see pictures of him in training but I doubt we will ever see him play for the side again.

I knew they only picked up one point in the last ten games before the match yesterday but didn't realise that their form had been so bad prior to that. It is just typical of us to have gift wrapped 9 points to Hamilton and the six to Kilmarnock. Thankfully we have a nice cushion as it stands.
-
Despite our result it was nice to see St Midden miss out on the top six. I thought we done well in the first half despite the horrible opening goal. Sadly as we have seen so many times this season we are more than willing to gift wrap three points for the opposition. I love my football but can't wait for this season to be done and dusted and confined to the history books.

Full Time 4-1 poor day at the office.

Hamilton equalise late on versus St Midden.
