Thats an amazing feat. Outwith Malpas who was the worst?

Apart from Malpas, in my life span the club has always surprised me by it's choices. Tommy McLean was gaffer when i enjoyed my first game. McLeish was a mega surprise, an experienced coach would have done wonders as Celtic were on there Knee's and it was us and Hibs challenging Rangers. Didn't we knock back European cup winner GUUS HIDDINK??? Andy Watson was offered job but turned it down, as he wanted to join big "ECK" at Hibernian. Harri Kampman was a sure fire surprise. As was Billy Davies. Don't think much of us fancied Eric Black as gaffer. Terry done amazing in such circumstances the club were in. Malpas was Shite, but think we all expected him to get the job. McGhee was a good choice, nice to get experince in. The club rescued him from the wilderness. and he always made it clear he wanted bigger and better things. Leitch "APPARENTLY" was offered job but thankfully he rejected. I'm sure the new appointment will be another surprise!!! Would not be to surprised if we go down the line of Chris Sutton or something. Getting someone with 'Well at heart would be a nice change.

Thank god he never got 'Well job, I know he won the SCC at Ross County but he got a decent side relegated before running. Malpas wanted to sign Simon Mensing i believe but the deal looked off as he quit. But i remember McGhee saying Leitch highly rated him so he concluded the deal. He would have be 100% Malpas 2. I wish him every failure a Aberdeen.

I was thinking the same. How would you feel if he did a Hearts like U turn like last year. I would rather he would just go now as it seems from day dot he's clearly wanting a bigger better deal and it does not involve us.

Its a shame all the clubs need the satanta or a similar deal simply for the cash. I use to also love the wait seeing the well get the main match on Scotsport or sportscene... If setanta go bust I'm sure Sky or someone else will be in to get the rights of the SPL. And if that happens the money will surely be poor

Yeah apparently there is loop holes in Pre contracts which players can do a U-Turn. I wouldn't be too dissapointed if he never came. I remember him trying to get Ian Black to stay.

That was a fantanstic game. I remember being 4-0 upafter like 30 odd mins. It could have and should have been so much more.

I'm absolutely gutted to hear that. He was a true legend. His partnership with Archie Shaw in defence must be record and he certainely did more than most in 1952 SC final. Rip big man.

With whats available if McGhee leaves we could do alot worse. Had a successful reign at Fir Park before albeit in the First Division but i think he would be a decent choice.

Def a step backwards in my opinion if he leaves. I know he has history with Aberdeen but if he had another good season with the steelmen he would certainely be on to great things, rather than going to pittodrie. hope we can't agree on compensation, im positive boyle won't let him go that easy.
