Yeah we are. Dundee United have that half black and tangerine number, they'll be in white.
-
Willie Collum the ref today so obviously it will be his show as per. Tough game ahead, surprised with Hearts benching a few regulars. Hopefully the international break has served as well. If we could pull off a win we would only be three points behind them.
-
It struck a cord with me, it was Zak Jules first start for us and it was the beginning of his highlight reel as we conceded two at the death.
-
Van Veen suspended. Liam Donnelly hasn't been training due to niggling injuries for past month or so. Roberts not available as he's on loan from Hearts. Ojala and O'Hara face late fitness tests.

Great game plan by Alexander. Kick the shit out of them first half, pretend we're pish come out for the second half and blow them away. Need to keep it up. So much better when you just go for it.

Ref was quick at dishing yellows out for us, letting them off with some.

Ojala off for Lamie

Looked a haun baw by broon

That was a hard watch. It's so frustrating, anytime we get a hint of getting the ball into the Aberdeen box we have either launched it straight out of play or we have been offside. Even passing the ball ten yards to a team mate is a challenge.

The bald fud also had a few other incidents late in the second half I honestly think he was trolling us, O'Donnell went into a 50/50 with Brophy I think, both slid in, Stephen got up first and just as he's about to take the ball Madden gives them a free kick in a dangerous position at the edge of the box. Also, Shaugnessy lunged into a challenge anticipating the well player to get the ball but he hits it out the park with no one near him and Madden gives him the throw in lol. I never got a clear view of it but Solholm was wrestled to the ground late in the second half as well but that incident was totally omitted from Sportscene. I only stay a short distance from Fir Park, if we lose or such I'm generally over it by the time I walk in the front door but last night really annoyed me, I think it more stems from his previous decisions last season against Rangers where he couldn't point to the spot quick enough twice but over looked Campbells stonewaller plus the freebie he gave St Mirren in January in Alexander's first game, can't believe he actually topped that decision.

Domestically Rangers haven't been playing great in recent weeks but they have still managed to dig out points, they themselves were bailed out with a soft penalty late in the game last night as per. I think it has only been against Aberdeen where Alexander has changed formation this season, I would probably prefer a 352 over a 433 but I can see him persisting tbh. I'd probably prefer Carroll and O'Donnell as wing backs, with Mugabi, Solholm and Ojala (if fit) as centre backs, midfield of Goss, Slattery and O'Hara and Watt and Van Veen up top. Against a dodgy Celtic defence we rarely troubled them, and they got lots of joy swinging in cross after cross, I wouldn't be surprised to see this match go down a similar route. Alexander has managed to get two draws from his two matches against Rangers with them getting a few dodgy decisions in each. If we take any points from this then that would be most welcome.

Getting flashbacks of Flamurtari away when Sutton scored from the spot but keeper was well off the line and he missed the retake. Great home leg mind you.

Agreed, that penalty decision is laughable. Then the following events, looks like Kelly's right foot is still on the line after ball is struck. Never noticed at the time, but Solholm was unlucky not to get a pen of his own as he was wrestled to the ground by Fraser.
-
Yeah its only the one foot you need on the line, I believe the rules changed a few years back, I remember seeing VAR in an English game last season where the keepers toe was just on the line. Not seen the incident back, but it looked like the attacker just ran into Solholm, did he motion to block him off or such? I find the inconsistency of Madden infuriating, some of the decisions out with the key moments were mind boggling at times.
-
Only need the one foot.
-
Bobby Madden the ref, hopefully no favours for his bro in the law (or is that just a rumour) the night, he owes us numerous soft pens after his performances last year. Main starts with Tait, Erwin and Dunne on the bench.
-
I'll take that back lol. Game on

Seen a video on twitter where the ball stopped dead when it hit the surface. Will be surprised if the games on tbh.

I wouldn't be surprised to see Alexander name the same team as Saturday as his interviews were mainly positive about that performance. Personally I'd like to see Carroll in for McGinley, this season I felt we were getting joy from set pieces and if it were for better finishing Jake would have had more than three assists to his name. St Mirren are without star player McGrath which is probably a bonus for us, they like to pack the middle so my concern is if we persist with the 3. They started off well against Rangers the other day but like we have a tendency to do they shot themselves in the foot and conceded two in minutes then went right off the boil. Set piece wise they kept giving Goldson freedom of the box at corners and I think it was three headers he won unchallenged, if we can get that type of joy I would fancy us scoring but then again, those short corners we do seem to drive everyone mad. I actually fancy us to get a result tonight but it will be tough night no doubt. 2-1 Watt and Van Veen.
-
They started the game really well, scored a wonder goal but shot themselves in the foot with some horrific defending, conceding two goals in minutes. It will be a tough task on Wednesday as they overload the midfield and I can see us struggling a bit in that area if we persist with 433. Never realised they had been in such good form.

Roberts on for Woolery

Poor my McGinley giving away another yellow and free kick.
