Got a phone call from a mate in the pub. They haven't got anything either.
  2. Not sure about today, normal office hours I would imagine. What I do know is that it is open until 7pm on Thursday.
  3. Can someone PM me the password please? Cheers
  4. Don't know about h**ns, but my son is in both of the photos.
  5. Gaun The Duke!!!!!!!! 3-0 Ya dancer.
  6. YYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSS O'Brien 2-0
  7. Young Christopher got on fine, he had a great time walking with legends. Although we couldn't get him to do a thing last night, kept coming out with the "I've just walked 10 miles" excuse. He'll probably have sore feet today. Said the best comment of the day was after the walk in Parkhead when Tam Cowan said "Thank fuck Phil signed for Celtic and not Aberdeen" Fantastic turnout. Well done to all. A special mention to Dougie Arnott and The Wee Thackit who sponsored Christopher to the tune of 50 quid.
  8. I remember you coming in, I thought you had been stood up . I'll make sure Chris seeks you out on Saturday for sponsorship.

Does anyboy know what date JOB's contract actually ends. If it is the end of May, as said in the previous post, then he is already in the last 6 months of it. It was onlyu rumoured in November, no quotes or anything. Surely Muttley isn't stupid enough to go public with this unless that is the case. He must mean that it is courtesy to ask for permission when in the last 6 months, but essential before that. Either way, it shows him up for the arrogant prick that he is when he admits that he won't show common courtesy to a fellow SPL manager.
  10. My Dad was a Rangers fan from Lanark, but converted to the 'Well when he moved here and married my Mother, her family were all 'Well fans. He was involved in the Fir Park club for years and helped found Fir Park Boys Club in 1968. My Mother worked in the club office for over 20 years until she retired. Because of this, I was in and around the club a lot in my younger years. Lots of family connections to the club, so I didn't really have much choice, and I am so glad that was the case. Had many, many great years as a 'Well fan and wouldn't change it for the world. My son is now 14 and is probably a bigger 'Well fan than I ever was. I never had any fears that he would ever go over to the dark side.
  11. My wife works at the club and my son is ballboy co-ordinator, so I'm sure that, if help is required, me and my son will be there and he will also round up the other ballboys to help.
  12. You were at my wifes 40th and sponsored my son? I've read some of you posts before, like the ones about your London trip, and mentioned to my wife that a female member of HODC was a regular poster, but I never knew who it was. In fact, I still don't really know, but I can narrow it down now. I'll be checking his sponsor sheet when I get home from work. I think he pestered everone in the hall to sponser him, and came home with a tidy sum for the cause. He is really looking forward to it.
  13. The Ajax team was, Tervoort Suurbier Krol Hulshoff Van Dord Lamain Zuidema Gluic Tahamata Geels Lerby Subs, Kok Stuy I've got the program framed with a match report. We won 4-2 and apparently we made a £4000 loss after we paid their expenses of £10000. The crowd was 7,535. The match report says, "Motherwell played the possesion game used in Europe and pulverised Ajax, who fielded their strongest side. However, the enthusiasm of some the Dutch players was questionable" I was only 9 at the time, but I vaguely remember the game.
  14. Was at the game. Murphy came on for the last half hour and made a real difference. Took his goal really weel from a tight angle after skinning the fullback. Forbes was on the bench but didn't get on.

His Father-In-Law used to be a member of the Centenary Suite, before he got banged up that is.
  16. Some of the debate on here seems to be centred around the legalities of standing at the game. This should not be in question. The stadium regulations state that standing is "strictly forbidden" and by buying a ticket or paying at the gate you are accepting this, whether you agree with it or not. So, unless this can be changed, the stewards are well within their rights to ask anyone to sit down at any time. The only complaint here should be the way that some of the stewards go about their business. We all know that club employees read the boards and post in other threads, so it would be interesting to hear their response to some of the allegations in this thread. I have no idea what a steward earns, but I wouldn't imagine it to be a fortune, so it may just be a case of if you pay peanuts you get monkeys.
  17. Big Sam, aye he did. I think he worked in the stripmill, 'cos I worked in the mill stores and he used to come in there. He played golf at Colville Park, not sure if he still does. Gary is also a scratch golfer I believe, I remember going to see him compete in the Scottish Boys Championship at Monifieth as a youngster.

My son is a ballboy and he heard at the game that he had picked up an injury in training on Friday and failed a fitness test on Saturday morning. Surely it too isn't serious if he was even considered on Saturday.
  19. Don't know what song it was, but the h**s in the POD stand were singing something with a similar tune in the second half.
  20. Some people need to get a reality check. I am a Cooper ST holder and the people around me today were those that I see at every game. These are the people that would probably have been the most vocal against giving it up to the OF. These are the punters who had to move. They were at the game today. From my point of view, the argument against giving up the cooper did not centre around some fantasy that it would be filled by 'Well fans, unfortunately, that's never going to be the case unless it's for one-off big games like Nancy. It was all about the people who are there every week in that stand. The people who bought ST's or paid at the gate because that's where they want to sit. How many on here could not get a ticket for OF games when we gave them the Cooper? The reality is that no 'Well fans were denied a ticket. It's not about getting extra capacity for us to fill, it's about letting the Cooper punters sit there every game. I'm sure that all of us would love FP to be a sell out every week, but that's not going to happen any time soon.
  21. How are the Cooper fans a disgrace?, surely it's not the fault of the fans that turned up. If it looked empty, it's because of the ones that didn't go. That's not a criticism of anyone not at the game, people have other commitments in life, both with their time and their finances. As far as I see it, everyone who wanted to be at the game got a ticket. It's not as if we were turning away h**s that wanted a ticket. The section of the POD nearest the cooper was not full, so I don't see your argument. Anyway, gutted that we didn't win today, I thought that we created enough chances, although it is a worry that we couldn't make the keeper work more. The whole team deserves a lot of credit for the way that they stuck to their gameplan and caused problems throughout against a supposedly "stronger" team. Once again, Hately and Coke looked the part in the middle, JOB gave both their fullbacks a roasting for the whole game, the defence looked solid. All in all a very good team performance.
