Not the managers fault at all but i shit you not, i watch Lanark United regularly and some of the youngsters wouldn't get a game for them. I know they have time to improve but aside from Murphy, McHugh and Slane i cant see any of the others making it and im not just basing it on tonights game iv seen them playing in the reserves and under 19's, we shouldn't have to make up half our squad from unproven youngsters. Also, where was Fitzy tonight? I wont judge Gannon yet as that defeat was more to do with his predecessors reign and the state he left us in than his management but he has a lot of work to do strengthening that side, i just dont see where the two goals (at least) that we require in Wales are going to come from.

I watch Carlisle fairly regularly and i would have said the team that finished third in 07/08 was head and shoulders above the Carlisle team that should have gained promotion the same year had they not bottled it. But now id swap our current squad for Carlisles any day, they would piss all over us i fear. EDIT - Carlisles current squad was a bawhair away from relegation last year btw.

Without a doubt my favourite 'well player of the last ten years, the guy took some horrible stick from a minority of the support especially in the 06/07 season but he just got his head down and got on with it when lesser players would have given up. He wears his heart on his sleeve and always gives his absolute all for the cause. Not one of these wee arseholes like Mccormack or Mcdonald that blabber away to the press about wanting a move, hes just got his head down, grafted and earned his move. There are two types of player, the aforementioned arseholes and then you have your Porters and Clarksons, the gentlemen of the game. I wish Clarky the very best of luck and hope to see him back in claret and amber but not too soon unless we are taken over by some russian tycoon.
