What's the point? Your reward for a hard fought and successful campaign is European competition and we go out with a whimper... Repeat.
-
This is fucking grim.
-
I don't get why we feel the need to adjust our tactics for these European ties, always trying to keep the opposition at arms length...
-
Dougie Arnott, Paul McGrillen, Jamie Dolan, Willie Pettigrew, Scott Leitch, just a few of players to have worn the Claret and Amber who also played for a "glorified pub outfit". Plenty the senior teams in this country and big wigs at the SFA/SPL could learn from the well run Junior setup...

Aye, £15 Adults, £10 OAP/Students and £5 kids would ensure a good crowd.
-
Cracking signing, Faddy next please.
-
Not really been following... who is Craig Reid? Striker from Aldershot or the one formerly of QOS? Signed or on trial?
-
Dougie Imrie is to join the squad on a trial basis when they return to training.

Where's delboyd when you need him. -
38 goals in 68 games according to soccerbase!

Thought we might struggle to get back into it after half time, being a goal down and minus Lasley and Law, happy to be proved wrong. Carswell and Hateley done brilliantly in the second half, have always rated Carswell pretty highly and it's good to know he can come in and do a good job when needed, certainly think he'll be challenging for a starting place on merit, not through injury to other players, pretty soon. McFadden was fantastic, Ojamma put in a power of work, Hutchy was solid, Higgy grabbing his usual goal and Higginbotham scoring a sublime goal despite having a quiet game. A great nights work, well done.

Higginbotham was awful at Carlisle, saw them thrashed off Leyton Orient and he put in one of the least interested looking performances I've ever seen from a footballer (and i include Omar Daly) and was hooked early. His three month loan there was actually cut short by Carlisle and he went back to Huddersfield a few weeks early. Hopefully he adopts a different attitude if he does join 'Well. Incidentally, we were stung over Mike Grella as he had played for Leeds and Carlisle that season, has Higginbotham appeared for Huddersfield this season?

I often wonder if some of the well fans who post on here have actually ever witnessed games from any division out with the SPL/EPL...

Saying this as someone who has watched a lot of League One football live, I really don't think it will suit Murphy. Total kick and rush football, all about strength, just get the ball towards the goal as quickly as humanly possible. Hope he does well though, great player for Motherwell.

Some folk need to take off their claret and amber tinted specs. Randolph was lucky to have not recieved a straight red card and concede a penalty. If it had happened the other way round the same folk would be the ones crying for a ban for the hearts keeper.

The east stand is vile, needing flattened or refurbished from top to bottom, that said its probably the most viable of the two stands in question due to its simplicity, from what I have heard the main stand is a mish-mash of different structures and wiring/plumbing standards, when its done its done.
-
Was this the official line? What a load of nonsense, with the crowds that turn up there would have been junior grounds with a higher percentage of their total capacity in attendance today, no emergency lighting there. Health and safety has gone daft, the baw's burst.
-
I thank you.
-
Heard it all now.

Have to get that dumpling Kerr as far away from the team as possible, Hateley back to right back, Ramsden in for Cummins, Law into the middle and Murphy on the left. Ideally would drop Humphrey for this game as he always struggles when up against anything other than an awful full back but when you consider all we really have to bring in is Omar Daley I'd just leave him where he is. Motherwell 0-2 Celtic

Hate to say i told you so.... Totally spineless, cowardly and embarrassing performance from nearly the whole team. Never been as ashamed of "my" team in all my life. Some things never change, Motherwell v Rangers is one of these things. Honestly has me wondering what is the fucking point following a team when they're just going to go out and lie down to shite like that. There's not one positive to be taken from that shambles and there's no excuses for it, they shat it before a ball had even been kicked, laid down to them and paid the penalty. If Rangers draw any half decent SPL side that is willing to have a go at them they'll get a going over but i wont be reveling in it, it will only serve to highlight how pathetic some attitudes at our club are.

What exactly is the point of that statement? Load of brown-nosing nonsense. Totally in-keeping with the inferiority complex Motherwell F.C have demonstrated so well when it comes to the old firm for years on the pitch. Has just seemed to me for as long as i can remember that the players don't believe that they have any right to be beating them, a view that has filtered down right from the very top. Have a feeling this will continue on Wednesday night and the 'well will come home empty handed, really, really hope I'm wrong mind you... They're a bunch of uninterested journeymen and young boys who have looked average against guys playing for £40 petrol money, hope the players don't freeze come kick off and instead get torn right into the fuckers from the get go.
