  1. Never been to Ibrox before, wouldn't give them my money and not about to change that now. Still hope we scud them.
  2. Famous last words, Granted we have good forward players and although thin in midfield, if fit, we look decent. I have no confidence in our defence if we lose Hutchinson and one of our full backs to injury. We already have a few youngsters padding out our first team, if we get a few injuries on top of that we will be in trouble as we have nothing and i mean NOTHING in reserve. Not saying we will defeinitely be involved in a relegation dogfight, I'd say we're more likely to be top 6 than bottom, but if circumstances conspire against slightly we might not be as far off it as some people like to think. In saying that, I've thought that in the past and had youngsters who have been a revelation in their first season, I'll be happy to be proved wrong again this time.
  3. What the fuck is with Motherwell and two year contracts? Plays well for one year and we're forced to make the choice between offloading them for whatever meagre fee we're offered or getting another year out them and no transfer fee. Throws any room for negotiation after that first year right out the window.
  4. Sorry, but Hutchinson cannot be defended, just saw the highlights on the TV. Fair enough, the first booking was harsh but having been booked minutes previously he should have known better, think frustration got the better of him. Let his team down and has been a bit ropey at the start of this season, giving away needless fouls in Europe most notably. Sure he wont need told that he let the his teammates down and hopefully he can learn from it. We have a very thin squad so its never going to be plain sailing like last season but one or two players needing to get the finger out.
  5. Can't see any chance for us here im afraid, fully expect Levante do be a better side than Panathinaikos and probably the best we've faced in European competition in recent years.
  6. Not sure if this has been mentioned already but this is from the BBC report: "Jamie Murphy met a Michael Higdon pass and rounded Motherwell keeper Darren Randolph to regain the advantage."
  7. I've said it from the moment he signed, Omar Daley is one of the worst football players I've ever witnessed. If he didn't have pace he'd have nothing and pace is as good as nothing if you can't actually get the fucking ball under control, greedy and a shocking work-rate into the bargain. Waste of space, a wage and a jersey. Can take players being shite if they make the effort, not when they stand about thinking the sun shines out their arse like that nonce. Oh and 2-0. This isn't a slant on any other Motherwell player, just out of our depth and not accustomed to competing in the Champions League, no shame in that.

    Away In Athens

Am I the only one that thought they were a pretty poor side? When Motherwell kept a hold of the ball and knocked it about they were pulling them all over the shop, if we could have had a bit of luck and kept it simple we could well have beaten them. I think if we keep it tight early doors and keep a hold of the ball when possible we'll do OK, if we can sustain a performance anything like the first 15 minutes of the second half of the first leg then the tie isn't completely beyond us. Don't get me wrong, its a huge ask but I saw enough in the first leg to suggest it's not a completely lost cause. If it doesn't come to pass then at least we have the Europa League qualifier to look forward to. 'Mon the Well!
  9. I hope the club will take the views of the supporters into their utmost consideration when voting, the club have been excellent in the past few years in terms of listening to the fans, often not getting the credit they deserve for doing so. I hope they extend this to this debacle. Should the club vote for the Newco to be admitted to the premier league, the club will not receive another penny of my money. I do have faith however that the club will listen to their fans and they will vote for the only fair outcome. Some things are more important than cash and the assosciated standard of football on the park, sporting integrity is one of these things and we must not allow that to be compromised. Anyways, this whole saga is fucking hilarious, hope we put the bigoted bastards to the sword. Rangers - We a̶r̶e̶ were the people.
  10. Just one of those days... Actually enjoyed the game, thought we went about things in the right spirit but a few things never went our way, the decision to award a corner being one of those. Personally i thought big Higdon done really well up until the last 10 or 15 minutes where he wasn't getting the same support from the tiring Ojamaa, held it up, flicked it on and knocked it down effectively. I suppose people can see things differently though. In my opinion Higdon, Clancy and Ojamaa were excellent. Don't like to single out specific players for criticism but Page will not do, never seen anything to suggest anything different. Tom Hateley has been abysmal this season, needs to get his act together. All that said, thank Christ we have McCall at the helm instead of that old codger, time wasting after 20 minutes and five, arguably six defenders on the park against ten men at 2-0. Football is meant to be entertainment, give me a McCall team any day of the week. Just not our day, onwards and upwards.
  11. I have to confess... Near the beginning of January i text into talksport an entirely fabricated rumour that Jamie Murphy was having a medical at Blackpool which they duly read out, would be ironic if this happened.
  12. To be honest i was hoping Daley was just on a short term contract.... the guys work-rate is absolutely shocking, its less apparent when he's up top but at Tynecastle he offered absolutely no protection to Tom Hateley whatsoever, I'm by no means Tom Hateley's biggest fan but he wasn't exactly given much help that day. From what i've saw of him the only decent aspect of his game is his ability to beat his man, but this has fallen to bits when it comes to putting in a good cross. Don't like to be too harsh on players but lazy players are something i have no time for. Granted, I didn't see his performance at St Johnstone where he seemed to have performed to a much higher standard. I see Dundee United are after Dougie Imrie from Hamilton, I know there are those on here who seem to hold some grudge against him from their school days but for what its worth i think he's a player we should have been in for. He is a left footed player with a talent our side seem to be desperately lacking, the ability to actually put in a good cross and he runs himself into the ground in absolutely every game he plays. In recent years we have made cracking signings from down south, Law, Juke, Jenno etc but maybe at times we should look a bit closer to home too?
  13. Well for me the wind and rain usually makes for pretty poor fayre on the park, yet to see a good game in these conditions, so the weather may just tip the balance between me being willing to pay £20 to watch or doing something slightly less miserable.
  14. Omar Daley was absolutely dreadful, Tom Hateley had a howler but wasn't exactly helped by having that workshy, lazy bastard in front of him.
  15. Tom Hateley is having a fucking shocker.
  16. Are the club going to sort the lettering on the AVIE C OP ER stand?
  17. Hmm that's unfortunate if true, didn't think I'd be able to make it but in a twist of fate can now, could be tv for me though... If anyone hears anything about the ticket office being open today let me know.
  18. Nothing i can add to that, well said Stuart.
  19. I'll go and watch any club playing at home if i get the chance (bar Rangers/Celtic) been to games at Accies, Falkirk, Stenny, East Fife, Albion, Thistle etc when Motherwell haven't been involved, not to mention just about every junior ground in the west of Scotland and a fair share of grounds down south and i can honestly say iv seldom seen anything like some of the fannies that you'll find in the middle three sections of the East Stand at Fir Park. Some of the pish spouted at times is unreal, its got to the point now where as much as i like being up close to the pitch in the East, iv moved across to the Main Stand, partly for the better view and because i no longer have a season ticket but also there's less of these manic wife-beaters. In saying this, there was some mongo a few rows behind me on Saturday in the main stand, Higdon brings the ball down and then tries to hold it up for support and was crowded out, he stands up and roars at the top of his lungs, "Fuck off Higdon, your fucking shite!! Useless c**t!!", i mean, for fucks sake. Iv seen players having games a million times worse than him on Saturday but have never seen a full section of a stand get to their feet to roar abuse at them for a poor touch. Well done to the boys at the end of the stand though, hopefully they can drown out these miserable old c***s.
  20. McHugh was a mile onside, was in that end of the main stand with a good view of it, was also clearly onside when he was played in right at the end.
  21. Well, its finally happened, able to go to the game today but not bothering, nothing to do with the team, they're doing fantastically well but £20... no thanks. Always said i'd have to pick and chose my games this season and this one bites the dust. Will still be hoping for a win though, just on the couch rather than at the 'ark
  22. They're just jealous of all we've achieved.
  23. Jesus wept, you never cease to amaze me.
