Definitely, I'm never usually one to put down current or former 'Well players but Hately was pish. I wasn't a fan of him when he was here and I'm even less of a fan now. He was extremely wasteful in possession and never really seemed that interested. I'm about 500 times happier with Simon Ramsden slotting in at right back who is steadily becoming one of my favourite players at the moment.

Carswell for me, very teancious and never missed a tackle all game. If Hutchison had to leave, I'd be more than happy with a back four of Carswell, Ramsden, McManus & Hammell. Also, Ramden has been excellent this season, I'd take him over Tom Hately in a heartbeat.

I'd definitely agree with Sieb here. Not everyone was Humphrey's biggest fan but he is perhaps one of the hardest working players I've seen in a Motherwell jersey. He gave Hateley a tremendous amount of cover at RB. I wasn't Hateley's biggest fan, solid enough full back but never a central midfielder. I'm quite happy with Ramsden taking his place, no big loss in my book.

It might just be me but I'm not overly concerned about Sutton just yet. For Sutton's game to work in our favour at all we definitely need to deploy someone with a bit of pace to make the most of his flick ons. I thought he done pretty well against Kuban considering he had almost nobody running off him. Lawson looks a good capture and I think with a few more games he could be our man to sit just in front of the back 4. Looks like he has the ability to pick out long passes, something we haven't had in a good while. McManus looks like he will turn out to be an excellent signing for us, it's refreshing to see a tall centre back in a Motherwell jersey winning nearly every header ... this could possibly be the most solid back 4 we've had for a while. As for Vigurs, he clearly is a good footballer but just looks a touch complacent at the moment. Anier looks sharp. McFadden is just one of these players that when it works, it's magical, but when it doesn't, it's extremely frustrating. He is never a winger, doesn't have the pace to get past people when running from a distance. I reckon tucked in behind the striker/strikers would work best for him. With a few more full games under his belt, ZFA could prove extremely useful for us at left mid, he is only 20 & is used to playing as a left back. Overall, 2nd or 3rd place willbe a bigger ask this year but we finish in the top 6 nae bother. As for Hibs, they were absolutely rotten, I'm happy we didn't appoint Pat Fenlon when he was rumoured to be interested in the post. Truly diabolical signings.

Higdon was lazy, Craigan was bad, Murphy was lackluster, Law was good and Daley looks a player.
-
Sorry folks, I certainly must of been watching a different game! If Murphy could bulk up a bit he could/will be some player!
-
Ross was actually my MoTM, can't recall him giving the ball away once the full game...

Great performance yesterday overall. However, I thought It was bad marking from Craigan for the second Rangers goal, should have been closer to Naismith. I'm willing to give McCall a chance, especially now that he has appointed an assistant. Compared to previous managers (McGhee, Gannon, Brown etc) I actually much prefer how McCall comes across in interviews, and how enthusiastic he appears to be. Seemed genuinely gutted in his post match interview. His tactics were spot on yesterday, all we needed was some form of attacking flair and the match was ours. Hope he starts pulling some results out the bag.

Only 3 players get pass marks for me, Jennings, Humphrey and Blackman. Humphreys play for the penalty was brilliant. He had the left back in his back pocket, only if our players would attack the box more often. Blackman always give 100% and was absolutely man handled today. Jennings was solid as usual, but not as effective without Lasley. I'll stand by my opinion and say Hately is not a midifelder, he is a decent right back but he is not a midfeidler, never tracks runs or marks. Forbes is technically good but just has an awful engine and can't keep up with the game. I forgot Gow was on the park for most of the game. We are certainly missing Lasley and Murphy. No pace from the left without Murphy and with Lasley. you just don't realise how much he does until he's not there. After all this is only my opinion.
-
Poor game but good result! Jennings was man of the match for me, but certainly misses lasley being alongside him. Hate to have a dig, but does anyone think Tom Hately needs to come to terms that he's not a midfielder? If you watch him throughout the game he never ever marks of tracks runs, he just sits in the gaps waiting for the ball. Better at right back I think.

is pay at the gate possible tonight?
-
aye, in the same boat here.
-
We were honestly shocking today. Lasley looked the only player who was caring!....... and also, I wish Craig Burley would get to fuuuuuuuuck!
-
We finished 3rd and got into europe?
-
I'm not really thinking of managers the now as I'm quite content and don't see the point in talking about change until we have to. On a slightly different note I have a feeling once Craigan and Lasley retire they will stay on at motherwell either in coaching roles or backroom staff or something.

All we needed was a player make a back post run to convert humps crosses! Most players were clustered at the front post. I can only remember one humph cross hitting the stand last night, I can easily remember at least 5-10 crosses being put in a decent area beasting the left back. We would not create chances without him.

how wrong was I haha

Just had a watch of the higlights, Blackman looked impressive. Casagolda looks to be good in the air and seems to link up well. I think we could have another successful season if we get the defence sorted!
-
Great goal, good flick from casagolda, absolutely cracking cross from hump.
-
Heard from a 'reliable source' last night that supposedly Esteban is definetly on trial and he is "absolutely unreal and shit hot" but he is looking for higher wages than expected.
-
I don't think he turned minging because he got a full time contract, It was more so because he done his cruciate ligaments basically as soon as he got a full time contract.
-
I agree with fat_tony, I thought McBride pre-injury was a terrific player. Scored every penalty he hit and scored some other good goals from RM and CM. Pity his injury ruined his career and basicallt turned him into a shitebag.

Anyone think Gary McDonald is worth a punt as he is now a free agent?
-
Pat Cregg? always thought he was a good player, probably worth a shout if Coke doesnt sign up.
