  1. Aye, had an interesting chat with the aforementioned Mr Devlin on Lee's "support" of Rangers.....
  2. Yes, but I think what people are saying is that they cannot wish him luck at a team we are in competition with next season. It will be galling to see him score against us next season. It's more to do with his interview when he joined Rangers about being a lifelong Rangers fan. He's a Motherwell fan.
  3. Assuming they are paying the wages that week..... Cannot wish any player signing for one of our rivals any luck at all, sorry.
  4. Relative of club employee has just said that Sutton is signing for Hearts.
  5. Starting tomorrow, some songs from the fans to make it clear that we want him (and Jenno) to stay.....
  6. Plenty of 'Well fans in Livingston........ you just need to know where to look
  7. I agree totally with the point you are making about not giving the media any excuse to link Motherwell to sectarianism and bigotry; BUT; I do not think that anyone could, or would, be able to point at a Scottish team flying Saltires at the Scottish Cup Final and describe that as sectarianism or bigotry. The Union Flag would probably play right into their hands though, regardless of colour scheme. On the subject of Saltires, folk saying that we don't fly them week in week out are correct, but playing devil's advocate, we don't play in cup finals week in week out, so if people want to make that extra effort and take a Motherwell flag that they normally wouldn't then I think that's fair enough. Cannot agree more about the points being made about doing this to show support for Motherwell as opposed to winding up Celtic fans though.
  8. Until Celtic have played Aberdeen, and Motherwell have played St Johnstone all this chat about the last league game and cup final is hypothetical. Let's get the weekend out of the way before speculating!
  9. I think it's fair comment to say that John Boyle could, and should have, spoken to Craig Brown away from the touchline, and that that was possibly "embarassing". Pulling him up for his actions wasn't embarassing though I don't think......
  10. That's the problem with inferences and implications - you can read them any way. However, in this instance something happened to make the complaint disappear. As for the manner of his departure, he used the verbal contract to his advantage by holding talks with Aberdeen without Motherwell's permission - and that is something that Brown himself stated - during which Aberdeen suggested contacting Motherwell to make it official. Brown himself said that he dissuaded them from doing so as the talks were informal. Now, he wants to use the verbal contract to claim bonuses he feels he is entitled to. Integrity? As for the suggestion that he has information that would be of interest to the fans, I'm pretty confident that there are people at Motherwell who could release information to the media that wouldn't paint him in a good light over his departure.
  11. Pretty much the same from The Sun regarding the bonus payments.
  12. Catholic housing scheme was the one round our way.... Change that line to "Craigy Broon is a lying two faced c***" and we're getting there!!
  13. Plus, it's not paranoia if they really are out to get you
  14. Different water down south than up here, so it's reasonable to suggest that a teabag might produce a better cup of tea up north, and that it's unfair to base your opinions on said teabag's offerings down south.
  15. To be fair, that's an extremely short article with no direct quotes at all..... journalist(sic) putting 2 and 2 together and getting Jennings there I reckon.
  16. How is it ridiculous? A split-second later and Hutchinson gets a boot in the face, or if Goodwillie mistimes it, again a boot in the face.....
  17. Internationals trump club games I'm sure.... As for Houston heading away with Scotland, if that is the reason, then Kenny Black is also affected.
  18. Exactly. I watched the Gunning incident several times last night and slowed right down, he was clearly caught on his right ankle which then connected with his left. Saunders withdrew his leg, and Goodwillie was practically on the deck before flicking his leg out to try and make contact with Saunders who was standing still. Cheating. Also, FWIW I thought Goodwillie's "wonder" goal was extremely close to being dangerous play. Pictures in the paper this morning show that his boot was lucky not to connect with Hutchinson's head.
  19. Deflection though... nobody is making an issue of their bookings. Their manager twice squaring up to Rangers employees though is the issue.

    Celtic Forum

Ironic in the extreme. So, the guy that started the thread is at school in Motherwell, so presumably lives in the town.... yet chooses to support a team outwith his local one? And as for the "what does the '86 stand for?" question....
  21. I think the implication there was that as far as your average Celtic fan is concerned, Irish = Celtic sympathy or support. Ergo, your deluded Celtic fan there would normally have concluded that Randolph is a Celtic fan.
  22. Scott Davey is a twat. Darren Rudolph. Hamilton entertain Motherwell at Fir Park this Saturday. Twat.
