Really?! Whenever I sit in the Main Stand I literally cannot sit down because of the lack of leg room!! Best view though, no question.

Aye, that's fair enough but my point was about the fans who don't live locally who can't simply jump on a bus unless they want to spend several hours travelling. As someone who has spent the majority of my time supporting Motherwell at home from Livingston, the bus or train wasn't a realistic option. A glib comment of "take the bus/train" wasn't very constructive!

That's all well and good if you live reasonably close. Many people don't though.......

What he said at tha AGM was that he didn't think they were ready to come in and play every week and get third place last season, but that they would be good players in a couple of seasons. He spoke highly of Hutchinson and Saunders in particular. McGhee was aiming for Europe immediately, while Gannon is aiming for Europe once these guys mature - big difference in aims there, and I don't have an issue with either.

Coke and Forbes are the two in posession of the jerseys, and I'd say they did nothing to suggest they'll lose them on Saturday. A lot of people are concerned about Kevin Kyle, but playing Reynolds in the holding role again would allow him to hopefully cut off the supply to him. The whole defence was a bit shaky on Saturday, but they are all decent defenders and on form will be fine. As has been mentioned elsewhere, you could put both goals conceded on Saturday down to individual errors when clearing the danger and if we can cut that out then so much the better.

Against Flamurtari the combination of Sutton and Murphy, with Sutton playing almost in the 'hole' worked well. McHugh did really well against St Johnstone, but I reckon Sutton would have thrived on the balls into the box had he been kept on for the second half playing alongside Murphy. There's plenty of scope for getting Murphy in the middle I reckon.

I wouldn't be surpised to see us finishing third, and also unsurpised to see us finishing 11th. As has been mentioned by a few others, there's almost an 'administration time' feel to the squad with all the youngsters being blooded. The Europa league games show that these players are capable of brilliant performances, and then be given the runaround by more experienced opponents. That experience can only hold them in good stead though. I just hope these 6 games don't catch up with them due to the timing of them - anotehr negative in my eyes about them was that we were limited to 3 subs and that meant the full squad wasn't getting as much match practise as they would from a friendly. Still, I'd be happy with a solid bottom six finish and a transitional season to build on for the following season's Europa League games (courtesy of the cup win!). IGWT

Mark McGhee said that his sons read the message boards and kept him updated, and Marc Reynolds told me at a POTY dance that he regularly reads the boards. Judging by some of 'Flows previous posts, most of the squad read them and then cane anyone who's getting a bit of abuse on here!

Which SPL game has he played in? I thought it was just friendlies and Europa League? Anyway, thought that was a good interview and I think Gannon would advise him to stay and play regularly rather than return to empty parks on a Wednesday afternoon for another season.

I reckon it's more a case of Gannon thinking that other people in the squad are better equipped for the type of football he wants to play, or for the tactics he has employed so far. Perhaps best for them to move on if they won't get first team football here, but I think they'd both still offer something over the course of the season if they stayed.
