Still gutted to lose that game but we invited that shot from Rogic, a very promising performance. -

I may be wrong but I don't think anyone has sold out their away allocation for a premier fixture at Fir Park for a while. -
Sometimes this game surpasses our expectations and is one of the premier fixtures of the season. There's always a fighter's chance we turn them over, there's also the chance we are humiliated on our own midden. Game on.

There was a fantastic display and database in the Motherwell Heritage centre around 18 years ago, it's years since I've been though. Not sure how viable it would be having something in Fir Park

Since this entire forum has given users freedom to post unmoderated content and the moderating team volunteer their free time to do so, we are sadly unable to read every post made, and given that we trust first and moderate second all post content will continue to be unmoderated for the foreseeable future. We do hope that anyone who feels they are receiving abuse or reads abuse within the forum will use the report function and bring it to the attention of the moderating team. I will nibble ever so slightly at your bait and say that since you have only been a member of this forum since 17/03/16 that in the 14 odd years it has existed prior to that momentous day we were blessed that you came to save us from ourselves, that I have had this forum name, it has roots from the once bestest ever Motherwell fanzine named after a Madness song ever. I don't feel like changing it on your advice.

It's up to Transport Scotland to use mass emailing to target increased traffic, er decreased traffic for the M74 closure. -
Ten years since I wrote an article for One Step Beyond saying that we should look at naming the 3 other stands. Definitely not before time.

We promote visibility in various ways already. The forum has a reporting facility for any members who feel that a post is inappropriate or abusive, all reported posts are taken seriously and moderators will edit or remove posts as they see fit.
-
Still to check this out, apologies for the delay, I'll look it out right now.

It's an app for all your forums, slightly more control over what content you receive to your phone rather than logging in with your mobile browser. I haven't used tapatalk before now, but I have noticed quite a few fora I've visited on my mobile have suggested tapatalk as a better mobile experience.
-
We have added tapatalk for those who use that application on their mobile device. As with any new feature we welcome feedback and any bug reporting can be done via the bugs, glitches and help sub forum. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk

We are constantly looking for ways to improve the forum and welcome reasoned and sensible suggestions from all members, while email marketing may indeed improve customer traffic to websites of those that use it, it's not something we will be pursuing at this time. We do have one or two upgrades due which will happen as and when they are required. We hope everyone continues to use and enjoy the forum in it's present form.

Maybe he wants to follow the career path of 'flow.

Do you think publicly attacking the forum moderation team is going to make us all read your link and we'll ooh and ah at the analysis then beg for your help? I just checked my email account, it's pretty well organised with message rules, I'd lay bets I'm not the only person to do this, there are currently 6000 unread emails, a high percentage of those are marketing emails or 'upcoming events' and even a few 'What's happening on... forum' type of mails, most of which I did sign up to get. I'll say this again, we're not a business, we don't live or die by forum engagement or product sales. It's a place where folk come and talk about Motherwell and any other nonsense if they like, we rarely produce content and these days rarely have the scoop on news concerning Motherwell, the flashpoints are transfer window and matchday. Social media has taken over as a more personal version of compost corner.
-
Why are you interested in helping? Why is this help only offered publicly? You know, 20 years ago there was a thriving Motherwell FC mailing list, it evolved from the exiles club and was the only show in town until Fir Park corner appeared, which led to WTFC.net and the mailing list pretty much died on it's arse around 2001'ish. What we really need is a mobile app to push notifications of MFC news that isn't twitter or facebook.

What's the format mate? Sounds interesting

Steelmenonline is not a business, the only product we have is providing a platform for discussing Motherwell and other nonsense. We're pretty much self sustaining in terms of hosting and support (numpty, I'll look into that email query) Administration and moderation is voluntary and everyone apart from Andy_P does a good job. Andy_P does a great job.

The club's online presence has certainly increased since the early days of the forum, their site has been overhauled and Twitter and facebook make global interactions much more commonplace than a specific forum, it's not specific to steelmenonline, I've seen quite a few decline in activity, I'd been part of a group of friends who organise events at the American fitba for 3 years and only found out there was a forum a few months ago.

Insert cliche about bonfire night and fireworks here.

We'll see what McGhee's worth as a manager is over the next month or so. I'm not expecting a surge up the league but some points towards us separating from the bottom.
