The club's online presence has certainly increased since the early days of the forum, their site has been overhauled and Twitter and facebook make global interactions much more commonplace than a specific forum, it's not specific to steelmenonline, I've seen quite a few decline in activity, I'd been part of a group of friends who organise events at the American fitba for 3 years and only found out there was a forum a few months ago.

How exactly do you make a player go on loan to the conference? This isn't Champ manager, who pays the loanees living expenses? At least loaning a player in this country he can for the most part get up the road after training and commute from home. There should be a succession between playing for the under 20s as an 18 year old and going on loan, but it should be to Clyde,Airdrie,Livingston or the like.
