  1. Some folk just want to watch the world burn Jim.
  2. Spoke to Skippy at length at the sponsor's night, his words were he'd definitely be here next season. Wring out yer knickers.
  3. The more public MFC's dealings are the less likely we are to conclude that business. Frustrating fans is the last thing the club should be worried about. You're right about having a view or opinion but if that opinion or view is a load of shite then expect it to be shouted down just like real life.
  4. Quarter finals start today. Remember and put your guesses in.
  5. Reminds me of the David Kelly era strip
  6. Tweet(@MotherwellFC): @Steffmcd80 As we stated publicly, we offered him a deal but he's opted to take up a contract offer down south, Steff. We wish him well...!
  7. Right, mock up that le coq sportif style polo with petrol blue and C&A piping and take my money now!
  8. Reminder to get your round of 16 predictions done before the next phase begins.
  9. Reminder to get your 3rd round fixtures done today before the last round of games start
  10. Because any shirt sponsor offers haven't met with the club's expectations yet. Simple economics
  11. In 1981 gate sharing was stopped. It's time league gates were pooled and distributed among teams, the league should be the business not the teams.
  12. We're now chasing the blue pound. If the argument was for sporting integrity then maybe I'd see the point. The fact it looks like we're begging, not so much.
  13. Decent enough start http://spfl.co.uk/premiership/fixtures/ use above link if mfc website swamped
  14. Mind when they had Gascoigne? Mind we pumped them 2-0 in their own midden when they were going for nine a row, every team is beatable.
  15. You know that scene in Forrest Gump? Pretty much sums this up
  16. I'll throw together a couple of dvds for the winner, good uptake on this
  17. Stanley Milgrim would have a field day with this. I've not got much to say, except maybe I haven't read such blinkered, uninformed shite in a long while.
  18. Posted on facebook for a bit more exposure, might even put a prize up if it fills up.
  19. Yep, same for me, perhaps you have to upgrade your membership to be on that mailing list.
  20. Aye, this should be in General Sports or some other bollocks, can a moderator split this topic and all the other topics that go off topic and put them in separate topics in topical forums so we can have topical discussions about the various topics?
  21. Watch ESPN 30 for 30 - June 17th 1994, Vancouver Canucks fans rioting after losing game 7 of the Stanley cup, makes what Rangers did in Manchester look like a tea party http://espn.go.com/30for30/film?page=june-17th-1994
  22. I went to a baseball double header in St Louis in 94 versus the Atlanta Braves, afternoon game was tremendous, the night game was a fucking horrific experience. I went with my sister in law to the night game, she was followed into the bathroom, leary comments, booze thrown at her and the atmosphere was probably the worst I've been around at a sports venue. The difference I've seen at US sporting events is that it's individuals rather than a collective that mar the experience, at Metlife there was sporadic fighting among Jets and Browns fans, at TD garden a guy wanted to fight a lassie because she was late getting to her seat and he couldn't see past her for 10 seconds, at Gillette there were Lions fans trying it on with our group all through the 2nd half. This idea that there's no crowd trouble is a myth, it's just less obvious. Don't get me wrong I've had great times at all the events I've been to bar Busch stadium at night which was really ugly, the difference at US events is no segregation as such and everyone gets the same treatment through the turnstyles and no over zealous stewarding of groups of away fans.
  23. What do you mean by better treatment though?
