In my opinion we should only keep them if there is a possibility of signing them on permanent deals next season if not let them go and play youngsters in their place
-
Higdon, because its goals that win games
-
t We still have Lasley, Hammell,Ramsden,McManus and Sutton who are experienced but maybe Kerr Cummings Moore McHugh and Erwin amongst others could benefit from more 1st team action
-
I would let all players who's contracts are up in January go, and go with our younger players. We may struggle but it would have long term benefits hopefully. As for McFadden if he is out of contract in January he doesn't deserve a new contract I'm afraid to say.

From a financial point of view an artificial pitch makes sense no need for expensive undersoil heating, play more games for less spent on upkeep and no postponements in the winter. For a club like Motherwell it would make sense

We are currently sitting 4th in the league 3pts off 2nd place and 26pts of the bottom I can remember when that would have been considered a brilliant season. I don't support Motherwell because I expect them to win every week, the way some people are going on in here maybe they would be better off supporting Celtic or Rangers. Sure the team is not playing as well as last years team but do people forget the stick Higdon and co took at times over the past couple of seasons ? Fans are entitled to criticise but every now and again they should remember the bad old days, things could always, and frequently have been, worse.

One day you are a peacock next day a feather duster

To me Lee Hollis is a good goalkeeper but needs confidence or at least learn to look confident. He looks nervous and unsure even after he had made some good stops against Killie. After having Randolph in goals who never looked anything but confident it seems to me to that if Hollis looks a little unsure of himself that could lead to a lack of trust with the defence, I fear for him if he makes a mistake and the crowd gets on his back it could really effect him. Hopefully he will keep his place and become a hero to the fans like Randolph and Ruddy were.

As a famous man once said "one day you are a peacock and the next day a feather duster"

Replacement for Humphrey maybe ? http://www.scottishfootballleague.com/news/article/player-availability--kieran-critchley/ Speedy striker Kieran Critchley, who clocked up a time of 10.68 seconds for a 100 meter sprint earlier this year, is keen to try his hand at Scottish football. The 23-year-old from Preston wants to head north after spells in England, Ireland and Malta. Critchley said: “I want to come up to Scotland to train in pre-season and get the chance to show what I can do. I spent 6 years in the Youth Academy at Blackburn Rovers before moving to my home city club Preston North End.” “Since then I have played in England, in the Northern Ireland Premier Division with Glentoran and Floriana FC of the Maltese Premier Division.”

If the Well Society paid £1 million to get full ownership, as you suggest, would that money not just transfer from the society bank account to the club bank account to be used by the club when agreed by the board which by then should have more society members on it. At the end of the day the idea of the society was to help the club not just to keep the money in the bank

My dads scarf from the 50's PS anybody else have one of these mirrors ?
-
IF McCall went I'd like to see Stephen Craigan replace him, knows the club and the players and would make a good manager in my opinion.
-
Just out of interest could the society vote to allow some of that money to be spent on a players wage ?
-
The problem with scottish football is the fans of nearly every club are desperate to get rid of Rangers and Celtic but the SPL/SFA are just as desperate to keep them and they know it. Everybody knows Rangers would have got back into the SPL straight away if the fans hadn't scared the clubs into refusing them entry, and changing the prize money for everybody bar Celtic is another example of the SPL not caring about the fans of the other clubs. But how and why it was voted through I do not know perhaps someone from the club could explain
-
Supporting your club doesn't mean agreeing with everything they do . Players and officials come and go but the majority of supporters are in it for life. I joined the Well Society to put money in to the club and hopefully have some say on the direction the club takes but I do recognise that not everybody will agree with me all of the time but in the end we all want the same thing dont we?
-
Im afraid no matter what you do with Scottish football its just like rearranging the deckchairs on the Titanic ! If we really want Scottish football to survive we need to ditch Celtic and Rangers. They take up the bulk of the supporters for reasons that are nothing to do with football and also take up the bulk of the cash available. People say without them we we be like the Welsh or Irish leagues but is that really so bad at least it would be a relativly level playing field. Sponsors would not be so keen to chuck money at the "Glasgow giants" if they only had each other to play against and eventually money would start to flow into the Real Scottish Football League after all its the football thats important not the money is it not? Sorry forgot to add that whatever way it goes I will still be Motherwell till I die and support the Society and the club.

Well spotted nice to know someone bothered to read it !

Does anybody else remember standing on the terraces at Fir Park in the late 80's chanting "McLean must go " when we were getting beat by teams like Clydebank. But a couple of years later we had one of the greatest days in the clubs history at Hampden and now we think our manager isnt good enough when we are in the top three in the league and been in the Champions league ! There are many things I dont like about the way McCall manages Motherwell but how the hell can we expect a new manager to come and improve on his record ! I think in the present climate we could be doing a lot worse so be careful what you wish for.

Lets try and stay positive folks. The well Society may not be perfect but give it a chance. I joined when the club voted against Rangers Newco being allowed in to the SPL the feeling at the time was if the clubs stood up for what the fans wanted we would back the club as much as we could. I don't regret joining and hope my continued membership helps the club we love survive

Higdon would make a good stand in centre half

I think the club should appeal on the grounds that the referee and his assistants saw it and deemed it ok. It wasn't off the ball or behind their backs and as we keep getting told thr referees word is final. Will the referee face a ban for not taking the appropriate action at the time. It seems a bit unfair that if officials make mistakes like they did in the Hibs game that cost us we have to just put up with it but this mistake is looked at and changed retrospectively Will they give Stevie Hammell his goal back I doubt it, but its the same thing a mistake by an official.
-
The Well Society is a great idea and it is early days I dont know if this type of fan ownership has been tried anywhere else so there are bound to be things not everyone agrees with but I hope we do not start getting bogged with niggles about how things should be done. We all want the same thing what is best for the club and Im sure things will be alright on the night.

Personally I thought there was enough info there to make a choice and I don't know any of the candidates personally. At the end of the day all the candidates are Motherwell fans and have put themselves forward to help the club.
