Craigan played an excellent game. But I would also say that a few other people put in a great game too. Notably, Reynolds, Humphrey, Randolph, Lasley, and of course the goal scorers.
-
Have to say Craigan is pretty impressive. Hope he gets his 49th and 50th (and more) caps as he deserves them. Great player and great as captain.
-
I have to agree with what has been said about the Norwegian fans tonight. They got right behind their team and seemed to enjoy themselves. They couldnae half sing. Hope they all have a safe journey home. Good luck.

Aye A Aye and you're Mastermind?

Felt Craigan, Reynolds and Hammell all played well, ended up voting for Craggs felt he played a better game than the rest today. Have to say Michael Fraser played better than I was expecting. Think if he got regular games he might be okay.
-
Brown is much better in getting the mix of youth and experience in the team plus the fact that he takes responsibility for his decisions. Also the players seem to have much more respect for him.
-
Jumbo cords are not even "so last year" they are so last century. Sounds a real tosser if he can compare Motherwell to some of the other teams he mentions.
-
Agree with that, especially the middle one. They are more "claret and amber". Think the claret looks more reddish in the new one.
-
I totally agree with that. Yes, Phil did go to Celtic but he came back to Motherwell after that, and he was a brilliant player and a great guy.
-
Brilliant news. Two in a row!

Errm calm down. But yeah I was a steward, and one of the reasons I left was because although some of the guys (and lassies) were okay, we were all getting tarred with the same brush as all being jobsworths and being power crazy. I always personally aimed to be pleasant and polite with the spectators around me, and apply common sense but there was getting less and less room for this. Also it was things like telling wee kids to sit down who were maybe just standing up to see a little bit better but would sit back down in a couple of minutes anyway but at the same time the old firm ones were being allowed to stand at either side of them, which I personally disagreed with. But my main reason for leaving was because of other commitments. As far as I'm aware the searching thing came in just after Christmas and was because of the cutback in policing. The ones that are doing it have to have their SIA badge, but anyone can go and do that.
-
Another point I just thought of: I believe it is illegal for male stewards to search women, so they would have to have female stewards there as well. I am pretty certain I was told this a while back by a friend who works in a night club.
-
It's Securigroup that do the stewarding. The guys outside the turnstile are SIA stewards who are there because of the reduced police present. They took over Upfront and a few other companies. They started stewarding Fir Park at the beginning of the season.

Hope this dinner goes really well for everybody, especially Stephen Craigan. Any idea when the testimonial match will be yet?
-
Good one

Hope this does really well as it is a really worthwhile cause. Hope the wee boy keeps making good progress. All the best to him and his family.

I didn't vote because I simply couldn't chose between Ruddy, Craigan, Reynolds, O'Brien, Hammell, Sutton and Jutkiewicz. All these guys were immense. But the whole team played well. Craig Brown and Archie Knox seem to have transformed them from the team we saw on Boxing Day, (especially the second half that day). Long may it continue. BTW, hope as many folk as poss are going to vote in the Manager and Player of the Month awards, and try to get as many of these awards as poss to Fir Park.
-
Brilliant result for us. 3 points plus takes us above Aberdeen on goal diff too. Long may it continue. Going by the Daily Record yesterday, the Aberdeen players were made to go in the sea on Thursday after their win at Hearts. Makes you wonder what their "punishment" will be when they lose?!
-
Hopin it's a win for us. They had a good win on Wednesday v Hearts but that might them a bit complacent. Also a bit of lift for the team in that things are a bit more re the Manager and the loan deals. Hopefully Ruddy to get another clean sheet and Duke to score at least one, with one from Sutton too.

You've heard Netherton Well Fan, and Milky. I agree. Bob Malcolm not at Motherwell. Case closed. Oh by the way, can someone define old?

New Manager Required, We're In The Middle Of The Transfer Window Etc Etc
Fi2810 replied to Haggischomper's topic in Club Chat
Don't think so. He was already away when Gannon went. As well as what is happening about the management team, it would also be good to know the long-term plans re Jutkiewicz and Ruddy. -
Have a great 2010 everyone. Cheers

I would agree with that. Knows the Club, the players and the backroom staff. Only hurdle there is inexperience in management. Also, TBF, we don't know his reasons for knocking the job back before. Maybe already agreed to go to Aberdeen before JB got round to asking him, and felt he couldn't turn round and break an agreement or maybe just felt he wasn't experienced enough. Only he knows. Also the post about JOB being at his house. Read on a thread a while back that it was a party, and if this is the case, then it wouldn't just be about getting O'Brien to aberdeen. It would be social, and .'. nobody else's business. Burley or Calderwood would also be okay as both previously did ok with other clubs, I mean Calderwood took the Sheep to 4th last season - you'd need to be mad to sack somebody for that. Also he would have a good incentive to keep us in the top six ahead of Aberdeen. (revenge is sweet?). Saw something there on BBC website they're talking bout Craig Brown getting the job temporary but really wouldn't want him be our manager longterm, I mean was he not a bit crap with Scotland, worse than GB or Berti Vogts. But whoever they get, they will need to act fast. And get it right.

I heard that too from somebody that was at the forum night the other week about him not having a contract. They quoted him as saying he didn't trust contracts.
