  1. Supposed to thaw between now and Saturday but tbh I'll believe it when I see it.
  2. Andy Goram Shaun Hutchinson, Stephen Craigan, Mark Reynolds, Steven Hammell Phil O'Donnell, Scott Leitch DavidClarkson, RossMcCormack Chris Porter, Scott McDonald Manager Terry Butcher Subs John Ruddy Paul Quinn James McFadden Keith Lasley John Sutton
  3. Agree with that. Hands up anyone who would just let it go if someone went online like that and called a member of their family (or a member of their staff) a "fucking idiot" when then they have probably never even met them.
  4. No. I shop online!! And there is a big difference between a supermarket with loads of staff and the ticket office with only a few.
  5. Because I would be making allowances for it being Christmas, and the fact that many people do go out for office lunches in the couple of weeks before Christmas. Also the weather we've been having the last few days, lots of offices allow their staff away early to make sure they get home safely, especially if they are travelling any distance so I would also phone to check for that reason.
  6. Agree with Ruddy as GK. Also agree that we are needing to bring Craigan back. My back line would be Hammell, Craigan, Reynolds and Saunders or Hutchinson. Sutton and Jutkiewicz up front with Coke, Jennings, Forbes and Murphy in midfield. I think we are needing Craigan's experience back in the team as we have to get some wins in to stay top six.
  7. I picked Ruddy as best signing. Some of his saves are immense. He doesn't flap as much as Buzz did. I hope we can get him to stay at least until the end of the season, and then sign him if poss. I have also been impressed with Jutkiewicz and Moutaouakil is okay at times. I'd be happy if we finished top six. Think Gannon will stay 3-4 seasons as he seems the type of guy to stick with a club.
  8. He has exceeded my expectations - I hadn't heard of him before. But when you consider we were quite near a relegation battle this time last season and had quite a run of defeats, and also the fact we lost so many established players this summer, Jim Gannon has done well to get the team where they are, in fifth. However after a couple of defeats, the next few games could be important to keep us top six.
  9. Most folk have phones now. Couldn't he have phoned and checked, especially at this time of year? Also I think youse are being a bit harsh on Leeann, as my family have dealt with her a lot and she has always been fine with us. She is certainly not arrogant. She is good at her job and is behind a lot of improvements at the club. If you think her reply is cheeky, then think again. She has a point. Why should she have to justify her staff having a Christmas day out. After all they work hard all year. And, to the person who asked if the holidays wasn't enough time to sit with their feet up, you forget they won't get much of a break over the holidays as we have two home games so while most people will be sitting on holiday on Boxing Day, and the 2nd January, and the time in between, the staff at Fir Park will still be working. Hope you all have a good Xmas and New Year
  10. Aww come on folks, loads of offices go for Xmas Lunch, and I know a lot of folk prefer that to night time. My office tried a dinner a couple of years and a lot of people could not go at night because they had other commitments so we ended up putting it back to lunchtime. They're as entitled to a Xmas party as anybody else. Also a lot of Xmas do's have to be booked early in the year, ie before the fixture lists are out, and before they know there is a ticket only game.
  11. Was a good night - enjoyed it.
  12. Yeah but they know that when they sign up to the army. A point too is that the most deserving cases eg firemen, charity workers, nurses, carers, youth club organisers don't see themselves as heroes and would be embarassed by being publicly hailed as such. They see it as what they do, end of story. And they would see the end result of what they do as the reward for their efforts. They are the ones that really deserve the free season tickets. People who help disabled kids are happy to see the quality of the kids' lives made better. And if they are doing the work in some other countries, yes there is a chance they might get shot at or encounter landmines or have some other s*** happen to them. And they don't get paid for it.
  13. I had heard he had been demoted to amateur games. He is dire. I really don't think Gannon is gonna be happy on Saturday!
  14. Should be looking at signing Ruddy as he is good and also Jutkiewicz.
  15. Was at the front of the main stand when Swanson tackled Las. It was a right nasty tackle, and I honestly thought Las would b injured. He didn't get straight away. Swanson did deserve the red card. But overall I would go as far as to give Alan Muir 1 out of 10 or even a big fat zero as he was terrible. The refs really can't get away with hiding behind the managers' vow of silence made last season, and as Gannon wasn't here then he has every right to speak out anyway.
  16. No, Pleeeaaasseee Noooo!! Not the one above! Too much on the eyes. Really think we would have to have a health warning for epileptics and migraine sufferers if he wore anything like that. I really think the blue kit is great. But I suppose the pink one (or rather I've been told it's fuschia) is better than the fluorescent yellow one the hearts goalie was wearing the other week.
  17. Heard Maros Klimpl had a knee op a couple of weeks back. Haven't heard how it's worked out - but hope it's not too long before he's back playing football.
  18. I have heard both versions re the claret and amber but the one I heard at an open day was about Bradford City

Aww come on. You are being a wee bit harsh there, are you not?
  20. Mataz, glad to hear you're ok. Looked like a sore one.
  21. I agree with this. Gannon needs to keep at least some of his more experience players. You surely can't go all on youth, you need a mix to keep it together, and Craigan is a good player. Everybody has an off day sometimes. If the goalies let in a goal, you still play them the next week. But obviously if he's still getting picked for international duties he must be doing something right. Just look back to this time last season when Well were getting beat every week and McGhee was getting pelters. Craigan was out injured. Craigan came back and we got a decent unbeaten run. Don't know if it was his playing or his influence as Captain on the rest of the team but something worked.
  22. Glad to see him getting back to fitness. Don't see him going in January as he will just be back and other teams will want to see how he holds up, ie if the injury is going to recur or anything. Also maybe JG will want to keep him as part of his plans here with the focus on youth in the team.
