  1. Can't argue with that. The better team won...easily. Ruddy looks like being a good acquisition. Hope he can keep that standard up. Well played lads, no shame in losing to that lot.
  2. You'd be better sticking this in the match thread. It'll save a mod having to do it shortly.
  3. Lube up. We're going to get pumped.

    Paul Mcgrillen

Shocked at this. Rest In Peace Mowgli.
  5. Ruddy marvellous. (Fuck off Daily Record/The Sun/The Star - my lawyers are watching )
  6. Same prediction as last week... 3-1 Motherwell, Craigan hat-trick. Jay, has your work got any pamphlets they can send over there? Wouldn't want any of these wee boys getting hurt waving their sparklers about. That's embarrassing.
  7. I'm never opening this thread again. Ever.
  8. "It is likely" makes me think they're speculating. The second bold part of the quote contradicts their own strip graphics time-line which show our traditional/signature kit first appearing in September 1928. Read into it what you will.
  9. Aw fuck. Made a bollocks of it already. Ah'm no playin'. (I was just reading the Davie Clarkson/Bristol City stuff - it was a slip of the tongue your honour. Honest)
  10. I've already made a tit of myself in this thread tonight but I'll risk doing the double. Our colour change had nothing to do with Bristol City, we adopted the racing colours of Lord Dalziel. Lord Dalziel had donated an area of his estate to the club to build a new ground. This piece of land - previously covered by fir trees - is where we still play today. I'm fed up being wrong all the time.
  11. You're right. According to Historical Football Kits, the blue shirts I mentioned were last used in 1913. C&A from there on and September of 1928 saw the first "traditional" Motherwell jersey. So, I'm stumped. EDIT: Just saw UBH's post. Now that you mention it, I can see the stripes in the pics. Hadn't noticed them until then.
  12. The club's original colours were blue shirt/white shorts. Glad they changed.
  13. Our record win is 12-1 v Dundee United. Celtic's record defeat was 8-0 v Motherwell.
  14. My mate was there last night, he works for the council. Maybe McGarry will be offered a job on the bins.
  15. I'd imagine there was quite a few folk from other clubs in the stand tonight, considering this was the only competetive game being played in the country. Wouldn't read too much into it.
  16. 'Flow announced it on here during the game. Didn't go into details though.
  17. We're the Pride of Lanarkshire.
  18. Celtic's record defeat was at the hands (feet?) of The 'Well but it wasn't our record win.
