I spent a week in Bristol through the work a couple of years ago and when I was in the pubs every night I kept getting bangers coming up to me giving it "City or Rovers?" looking for a scrap. Is this common-place or do I just attract these idiots? (An indignant "Motherwell" seemed to ward them off).

They're prepared to pull folk from more than just England and Wales. South African Kevin Pieterson springs to mind in their current squad and there's been a few Scots turn out for them too.

The first test in the Ashes series is being played in Cardiff (first time outside of En-gur-land or Oz) and starts on Wed 8th July. It'd be a nice double seeing the 'Well and the Aussies truimph that week.

I had typed up a fairly lengthy post to reply to that (not weeyins post, I'm far too slow at the typing by the looks of it) but reading it back it seemed pointless trying to justify my dislike of that fuckwit. Far be it for me to speak on behalf of others but I'm not the only one who would resent his appointment as Motherwell manager. As far as I'm concerned, he can go and take a running fuck to himself. He can let his mouth run away with itself when he was Billy Big-boots in charge of Notts Forest but all of a sudden he's looking to get back into management and sees the 'Well job vacant? I'm hoping for TNS. Looks like it's not too far from Liverpool (I hadn't realised their ground is in England now), so we're planning to base ourselves there with our pet Scousers if we draw TNS. It's the cheap option so it's the preferred option. It'd be a messy few days if we get to hook up with those reprobates whilst on Motherwell duty.

I'm pleased that Boyle seems to be sticking to his guns about the compensation. It's bad enough to lose your management team to a rival club but to lose them on the cheap to a rival club is not on.
