  1. if this is true (and there's not really alot of substance, yet to say it is) Jack Ross would be a Tommy McLean type signing. Low cost, unspectacular, in to do a job. Really heartened to see that the old Gannon is a wank / Broon is god gap narrowing a wee smidgeon
  2. Yeah, heard that a good few weeks back that this was 'on the cards' and was posted on here if I recall. Don't know if it's true or not.
  3. I think you might be missing loadsa stuff.
  4. watch yersel' sir, ye'll be gettin accused of wantin us to get beat next
  5. Been discussed in a cuppla threads elsewhere mate
  6. Aye we know that. But they still don't like anybody takin the piss - even if they won it weeks ago and as fatcalf says - tickets for a title party can be easily bought at FP
  7. What 'rator's gettin at tho is, that as we know from Skippy Sunday the OF don't like a party being spoiled. Things can get ugly(er)
  8. What are we expecting here? My thoughts are - prices frozen again, another early bird deal and potentially the chance to pay by installments (the only change from last year). Same as, basically. Anyone expecting anything else? A reduction in price, more cup games, addition of friendlies, heated seats, grass on the park, hot and cold running masseurs, bring yer granny?
  9. Thanks Al - that's the point for me. if you build a 6K stadium yer goosed on the odd occasion you get an OF game NOT on the telly or a Nancy home leg for instance.
  10. Agree wholeheartedly BB Posted the following on the 'Players re-signing' thread a couple of minutes ago.
  11. Tom's expressing what season ticket holders are also thinking. There are varying levels of sympathy within the support for the club in our pitch plight. But we're getting to the straw that breaks the camel's back point - if you pardon the pun. I understand we've had a bad winter but my own view is that we could have done the work the year before and benefitted from a milder winter in season 1 (hindsight and all that). But the scandal of the summer befor last has come home to roost big time.
  12. Yeah, I know where we are now, and you're probably right and none of the turkeys associated with the clubs or scottish football in general will ever vote for anything other than Christmas But TV coverage and cost and alternative pursuits are where they are right now. it's not to say that they can't change. if we can we should be a wee bit more optomistic. If not we're accepting the death of the working man's game. But these are the things that need to change
  13. Surely we all (authorities, clubs, media, supporters) should be looking at getting the game in Scotland back to where it was a couple of decades ago. Not throwing in the towel. 15K for an OF game, 12K for a big cup tie, 7 or 8K for a big league game. 5 or 6K for a normal match. 10K minimum
  14. *Jumps in car, drives to bookies*
  15. I think you might be wrang there on at least one count. Hence the old 'No OF title decider' farce. I heard that the police raised the issue as their forces would be deployed elsewhere on polling night.
  16. Get to the gig man. you'll prolly no get the chance to see Pavement again.
  17. I won't be there if Michael Fraser is gonna be in goals
  18. So MFC says that he should be given time - something very few players get at Fir park. Some turn it round though and he quoted a couple that did. Are you arguing the case that - Ach he's shit anyway let's continue to justifiabley abuse him during 90 mins in a well shirt All in all we're just going round and round and round - highlighting the fact that sometimes we just pick a well player and get on his case mercilessly - because we fuckin like doing it. Some of you sound like a bunch of frustrated wife beaters
  19. Parc Y Scarlets £23 Million. have we ever estimated the costs for redeveloping Fir Park's 2 long stands? I reckon that if we'd all have been putting a tenner a week away into a 'stadium fund' for the amount of time we knew that we've needed to updgrade or move - we'd be about there by now. I don't understand how we haven't had a stadium fund - with fundraising, debentures, pools or summit going for the last 10 yrs. OK we ain't gonna raise the money that the bun eaters did for ibrox but we might have come up with a decent deposit
  20. The futility of all of this is stunning. I don't think there are many who have posted that didn't think Fraser had a mare. However i don't see many 'praising' him as has been suggested. Many are just defending him in the circumstances and pointing out that because he's not the exceptional keeper that many feel Ruddy is, that that is not an excuse for over the top criticism and is counter-productive to our aims of winning matches and qualifying for Europe. He's played in two defeats and has been made the scapegoat for them - when there are quite clearly a number of other factors (even scapegoats) that are being ignored. Unfortunately he's the only keeper we have at the moment and getting on his case from kick off to full time. Berating his errors. Sarcastically mocking anything that he does right and basically doing a better job than any set of opposition fans could possibly do. Can a Motherwell supporter please let me know what positive outcome for our team that will achieve? Mark McGhee signed him, the board sanctioned the money for his wages and the management / board have failed to maintain adequate cover for Fraser in the course of the season or provide games to keep him match sharp - if indeed he isn't good enough.
  21. It's never been as bad as this. In fact it used to be a top notch playing surface. Got a bit boggy during the winter months but was repaired well for the relegation dogfight, sorry run-in
  22. Confusion reigns on this one - BBC have this as having gone through. Everybody else reporting that it was blocked by the SPL as we had fit youth keepers
  23. Jee Soh Man - that's about 7 sensible posts on this thread now
